astrogenov 5
Justice Irons, Age 16 Left Winger - #14 Shoots Left Height - 5'5" Weight - 155 lbs Hometown - Miami, FL Pros Skating Of course, standing at a humble 5'5" you'd expect a player to be fast. Although not the fastest overall, he's faster than the average skater of his age. Not to mention he's very passionate about skating. Expect him to work hard and become an incredibly speedy winger by the time he's fully developed. Shot This kid's got a knack at finding the back of the net. From one-timers on the power play to wrist shots off the rush, he'll find some way to get the puck to the back of the net. Watching him play, you can clearly see that he wants it more than the others on the ice. This makes him a threat more often than not. Passion Briefly mentioned above, this kid wants success. He craves it. He got cut from his junior teams during his first two years at tryouts for being too small. He'd produce well but at the end of the day it wasn't good enough. The management wanted big players and that's what they got. Justice knew that, to make the team, he needed to not only be as good as the others; he had to be better. Working hard on and off the ice every day of the week was what he did and it paid off. He made the squad the following year. This should be proof enough that this prospect is one that won't give up. If you need any more proof of his passion, just take a look at where he's from. He could've fallen for just about every other sport there is but he didn't. The boy loves hockey and it shows. Cons Defense Not much to be said here. Justice has shown time and again that he's a defensive liability. You just have to hope he can score more goals than those that go in at his own end while on the ice. His only redeeming quality is his willingness to learn. Though not a naturally talented defensive player, he'll at most become serviceable defensively; never excellent. He'll work hard to reach his potential but I don't think he's got it in him to become the next star two-way forward. Size What you see is what you get with Justice Irons. He's small. In fact, not just small; very small. He'll go into the dirty areas but often times lacks the strength to come out on top in 1 on 1 battles. Great heart, not so great strength. Strength can be worked on. However, on a compact frame there are limits. He'll never push anyone around out on the ice but thanks to a low center of gravity and continued efforts in weight training he might not get pushed around either. Hands Well we know that this prospect likes to skate fast. The downside of him being so speedy is that his hands can't keep up. Sure, he can get rid of the puck in a hurry when it comes to shots. But what happens to his hands when it comes to passing and puck control? Well, it's not a pretty picture. He's shown the passion and dedication that would make this a non-issue after a few seasons of work. You can expect that if his hands catch up to his legs, he'll impress. Whether that happens or not is still up for debate. Summary Expectations for this prospect seem pretty mixed. On the one hand, he's got so much potential. On the other, how many times have we seen a small player look like he's got what it takes only to be edged out of the big leagues due to the physical nature of the game? If he does make it, you can expect a solid scoring winger with great speed on the rush and a finishing touch on the power play. HenrikZoiderberg 469
Review: Needs a picture to meet the style guide, please upload one. Formatting is good, add a summary above the pros and cons to tell us about the player, and change your summary at the bottom to a conclusion to wrap things up. Meets word count.
