Dan Wilinsky was recently asked his take on expansion and if he was open to playing for either team.

"Its great that the VHL continues to expand and we can get our brand out to that many more fans and drive up revenue and in turn drive up salaries too. It's really an awesome situation for everyone involved with the league.

As for playing for any of the new teams, I'm not really sure, I'll be in my 6th VHL year when they start playing. I'm not sure they'll want and aging player like myself, when they should be building for the future. I'm also still looking to win a Cup or two before I retire, so unless they start out on fire like Moscow did recently, I don't know if there would be a mutual fit.

On the other hand, both GMs are great guys that I've had past success with. Jason Glasser brought me into the VHLM and is one of the people I respect most in this league and I know he can build winners.

Eno Rama is a bit of a wildcard. He hasn't done much GMing, mostly short tournaments, but I've gotten to know him fairly well and he is one of the smart young minds in the game.

I could see both being competitive right off the bat.

I'll be up front with people, I'm not going to even remotely try to be competitive s1. S2 we'll see, but I think trying to be competitive s1 would require pulling from resources that could go toward making s3, s4, etc more competitive.

Fine with that ;)
