Pär-Mårten tries to recruit a stranger

Mammus Gaffitti, a taken name from when he was pretending to be an importer/exporter when picking up a girl, looked bewildered, and a bit tired after the transcontinental flight and the three connecting flights to end up at Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International Airport instead of LAX. "Where the hell am I," he wondered, "and how long sentences can I string together?".
 

Once in the terminal he first tried calling the airline to ask how the hell we was going to get to where he was going, but the cellphone reception was at zero. Going to one of the desks at the airport yielded only sarcastic answers from the clerks, "How aboot that, eh." He resigned himself to taking in on a hotel for the evening.
 

Next day during breakfast an odd looking fellow butted in on his stall, "Mind if I sit here? I can't stand the smell of the poutine they are eating over there, it's something off with the cheese curdles I tell you," in a very Swedish accent.
 

"You're Swedish?", Gaffitti inquired, "I don't mean to be rude, but you don't have that 'boat'- and 'eh'-thing going for you."
 

"I am! And the Assistant GM to Saskatoon Wild too!" he proffered, "Tjena!" while almost loosing his glasses in the bowl of soup he had brought to the table.
 

"Hej," Gaffitti didn't know what to make of the man but decided to roll with the situation, [translated from Swedish] "Ya know, I play hockey, was actually going to LA for a semi-serious lower league offer."
 

"We'll have ya! What do you play? D right? D? Or goalie? Right, right? Perhaps D?"

 

"Well, I prefer playing...", Gaffitti was interrupted while twirling his fake wedding ring.

"Hired!", the odd looking AGM exclamated.
 

"Meh, I'm a great quitter, so I will have to decline you on that one," they finished the breakfast in a hurdy durdy fashion.
