Well, we've finally done it. We have 10 teams vying for the playoffs across 2 conferences and proper playoff races in both. Granted, it's a bit lopsided and it would be quite an upset if the Continental Cup in S68 goes to a North American team, but purely on points it's not that bad. Although the 5th placed team in Europe currently would be 3rd in NA but would they win the cup? Probably not so probably fine.

North America

Seemed to be a Vancouver vs Calgary battle going into the season (coming off two straight Game 7 classics between the two) and then Seattle and Toronto seemed pretty safe in the other two playoff spots. A lot has happened since – Calgary turned out to be worse than expected and has now had a mini firesale (so will probably win the cup now), while Seattle's young core developed quicker than expected. Still, the big surprise might be NY, who definitely seemed a season too young going into S68 but are giving Toronto a run for their money. And with obviously no draft picks, boy does Toronto need that playoff spot.

Europe

Was very tight for the first half of the season before Helsinki went on a roll while Moscow tumbled to a 6-game losing streak. That's put us in a situation where it looks like it will come down to Moscow vs Davos for that final playoff spot but Malmo and Riga are only a small slump away from being dragged right back into it.

Just saying that 96% of the team, including the GM, didn't think we could make it this season. I know we can fuck Toronto over boyssss?

Making playoffs without chances to compete isn't much you know...
