The blue flame effect and whatever the....newspaper-y effect is, I'm not sure. I don't think it works the best, considering the guy's face looks burnt or something because of it, like Gorlab said. You added text in the bottom left as well. Overall, it's a pass from me from a beginning user. Stepping stones.
