When the initial Season 38 VHL Entry Draft rankings were revealed, Turku Outlaws goaltender Brock Waldron was settled right at the bottom, largely due to the fact that he had only recently declared himself eligible and did not have a body of work for scouts to judge.

Since then, he has risen quite a bit up the main scouting rankings, currently finding himself sitting sixth overall among the draft-eligible prospects.  Being a goaltender, Waldron's potential landing spots are very limited, yet the fact that he is still putting in so much work is a testament to how successful he will likely be when he finally does make the jump, likely during Season 39.

The Outlaws are facing a very steep uphill climb against the Bern Royals in the VHLM Playoffs, and even against the Bratislava Watchmen Waldron had his share of struggles.  However, with the crop of top VHLM goaltenders poised to jump to the big show next season, Waldron should have his run of the place in net next season.  In addition to being a likely first-rounder in the main draft, he has a solid shot at being the top pick of the VHLM Dispersal Draft next season and should be the odds-on favorite to be named the VHLM's top goaltender.
