It has been a long time since we have sat down to talk with Mr. Azhishchenkov.  According to rumors, KJA has not been on good terms with his Yukon Rush GM. This is a result of his outside life affecting his work ethic. In one of our past articles, we talked about the possibility that KJA may be losing the title of “superstar” as a result of his practice hours dropping. So far in the past 3 weeks we have seen KJA only reach 13/24 practice hours. Not something that Riga Reign GM and Yukon Rush GM should be too happy about considering the fact that in KJA’s first season he was consistently getting 7/8 practice hours a week. Fortunately for us, we were able to sit down with this fading superstar to see what is going on and if his future career is now in jeopardy.

Hello Mr. Azhishchenkov, thank you for joining us. How are you doing?

Thanks, D3vs, you can just call me KJA if you wish. I am really happy to be here after so long. I am doing fine, but I have been really busy.

We could tell simply based off the rumors. Would you care to confirm any of these rumors?

Sure. The fans of both Riga, Yukon, and personal fans deserve to know why I have been “slacking” according to a bunch of critics. Though I have kept this a secret, I will now disclose it. I have enrolled in night school to get a degree in business management. Many would question what my motives are in trying to get a degree when I have such a promising future in hockey. However, I believe that there is a life after hockey and you never know when a career can be cut short. Unfortunately, I did not think that my pursuance of a degree would affect my practice hours with Yukon. Of course my first dedication is to Yukon and Riga, but I also wanted to get a degree while I am still young because at 19 years old, I do not have to worry about having a family. I did have a talk with Mr. Gow about my practice hours dropping, but he understood that it is important to pursue a degree and get an education, but he wants to make sure that my hockey growth is not being effected as a result. I totally understand his viewpoint, and I hope to be able to increase my practice hours.

Wow. It is really great to see such a young man take the initiative in dealing with his future. I think critics will be able to understand the lack of practice hours more. So what is the plan after Yukon? You currently have about 186 practice hours, and will easily be over 200 practice hours by season end. What role will you be playing in Riga?

Thank you D3vs. I hope people will begin to understand and forgive me for my lack of practice hours given the fact that I am trying to help my future when I am still young, but I should be back at my normal practice hour production in a week or two when finals are over. I have talked to GM Mike, and he has said my role as changed. As a result of a Trade Deadline acquisition, I will be most likely slotted in as a 3rd line center or a top 6 winger. This is actually okay with me, even though I was slotted as the 2nd line center before season start, as it will be my first season in the VHL and I will simply have to prove that I deserve the 2nd line center role, if not a greater role.

Well as a result of your extremely long responses, we do not have more time. Thanks for talking to us KJA, and we hope to see you improve on your practice hours and receive that degree!

Thanks again D3vs. I have worked really hard to get to the place I am in now, and I am not going to give it up easily. I want to be a number 1 center in the VHL and I will not stop until I achieve that goal. To any concerned fans, do not worry, here is the resurgence of Konstantin Jaroslav Azhishchenkov.

Thank you for those words KJA, well good day everyone!

(Sidenote: I really need to model my player after a Russian and not a Swede/Austrian... lol)

734 words. There's nothing wrong with interviews if they are done well. This isn't to say this wasn't done well, because it was well-written, but it really only consisted of three questions and I didn't really particularly like how you ended the interview:

"Well as a result of your extremely long responses, we do not have more time."

I thought you could have done something completely different in signing off somewhat. You beefed up the answers you did have, but maybe the answers could have been chopped down and added an additional 2-3 questions.

I liked the color scheme.

I have to agree with Slobo on this one. I think this interview would have been a lot better if you had have included more questions, less answers. On the plus side, your questions were actually pretty good and it was a neat way to let everyone know your still kicking.

Grammar: 2/2

Given that this was an interview, which should be fairly easy to proofread, I was close to taking .25 off. However, I think some of the stuff was to minor to warrant a deduction.

that Riga Reign GM and Yukon Rush GM = that the Riga Reign GM or the Yukon Rush GM

both Yukon, Riga, and personal fans = [both, by definition, means two people or things.]

role as changed = role has changed

Looks like you did enough here.

FINAL: 6/6
