Nod to Chekhov

My entire time in Cologne can be summed up by inconsistency and various members being undetermined. The building of a franchise wasn't going to be easy and in fact might have been harder than any team in history based on the assets. The one sure thing I was able to find was Evgeni Chekhov who turned in the best career for the club. With his recent retirement, Evgeni sadly has left the league early because of the horrible goalie market. However, Chekhov gave his all when he was with the Cologne franchise and for that I thank him. Showing what we needed to have an ounce of success is what inspired some of the younger players. Evgeni was vocal in the locker room and will have only seen one VHL LR in his career. So this goes out to the unrecognized Chekhov who came from nowhere to help us and give us some stability between the pipes.

Yeah a season earlier or later and we'd likely be talking about him as one of the elites imo.
