Two Types of Offers

When a player comes into the league after the draft they have the option of joining any of the VHLM teams. There’s usually two types of offers being sent out to these new players.

The first type of offers are from contending teams. They make the promise of being able to contend for a championship. This means any of the new players would have to start on the 3 or 4th line with the opportunity to move up the lineup if they stay active and improve on their player. Some players prefer this as they love the idea of being a Champion.

The other type of offers that are sent out are from rebuilding teams. Teams that won’t be contending for a championship but can guarantee top line minute or at least top 6 minutes. Other players love this option as well because it gives their players extra ice time to work on their personal stats rather than worrying about a championship.

Being that the VHLM is just a minor league does it really matter to you which offer you would rather take?

I invite anyone who reads this to share their opinion on which of the two options they would take or if they maybe signed with their VHLM team for a different reason.
