The Origin Story: Pengu

Some people and by some I mean many people would ask how someone from Antarctica learn to play hockey? Well, Pengu was abandoned in the frozen hell by his parents.  They were married scientists but not to each other, and ended up falling in love. And, that's how Pengu was born. His mother, unable to through with killing her child, opted to stay longer in the tundra. Tragedy struck when the ship hit an iceberg, but through her valiant efforts when everyone else died… She was able to deliver me to the penguins who were visiting from the South Pole. At least, that's what they told Pengu. And by them, we mean his adopted penguin family. The penguins favourite past time is hockey, and boy are they good. Pengu learned how to skate like a penguin. It made shifting his centre of gravity for balance super easy. Penguins work together to survive, and that mindset helped Pengu develop his great passing and play making. Also, penguins don’t like to lose. And that’s how you have a champion in the making for season 71.
