Despite the lines being terribly weighted in others favour, Lewis Dawson was able to overcome that with a solid 100+ point season. Dawson was often told he wasn't a first line player because of chemistry but the GM often used the same people to pair with Dawson and then expect different results. Because Dawson's agent has a long history in this league, he knew exactly what sort of excuse that was. That being said, Dawson overcame that by producing (albeit a lot less than what he could've had). Ottawa is now off to the second round of the playoffs and will count on many players to achieve the ultimate success. In a league known more for showcasing your talent and trying to perform to get noticed, team success is a nice bonus. When talks with others came up, they thought team success was the ultimate glory in the VHLm instead of trying to put on a performance for GM's and your pro team who has your rights. Dawson's agent had a bit of a disagreement which he still thinks he is correct about and rightfully so.
