Rayzor_7 741
Season 70 was a weird one (though less so than SSK stomping everything) for the VHLM and a tale of two halves. 1. There's a clear split around Game 20. OTT-SDM-MIN-HOU-PHI in the top half and the other 6 in the bottom. 2. Around game 31, LVA decided to join the lotto race and followed SSK way way down. 3. A six team playoff would make more sense based on this. 1+2 would get a bye while the 3v6 and 4v5 played. 4. A 7-0 OTT win over HOU caused over a 75 point dip for HOU and a nearly 80 point jump for OTT, making the top 2 into a top 3. 5. Game 26-32 had the tightest race as four teams were within a games ELO of each other. 6. No, I didn't fix the colours to match the teams. No, I don't want to, its a pain in the ass. For next season rather than starting at 1000 for everyone I'm going to have an adjusted ELO. Lower teams will get a boost towards 1000 while the upper teams will take a hit towards 1000. Stay tuned! I get the point that 7 and 8 don't deserve to be in, but at this point, 1 and 2 won't ever lose to 7 and 8 in a 7-game series. The case could be made for the VHL, but in the M? No way. Saskatoon made it back in the graph, thanks to an insane last sim, hooray!
