Joe Exotic 32
TORONTO – Joe Exotic was the talk of Canada's junior national team this week. Among top level players, he not only fit in, but excelled. How much have people been talking about the precocious 18-year-old who is trying to bull his way onto a team, and into the VHL, traditionally dominated by fully matured men? On Friday, a reporter prefaced a question about Exotic to his Team Canada teammate by apologizing for asking the question. "It's OK, he deserves it," Moore said of the attention coming Exotic's way. "He's an exceptional hockey player. He deserves to be here. He's got tremendous skill. His speed is going to be a big factor on the big ice like this. He's a phenomenal hockey player and we are lucky to have him here now." It appears Exotic will stay in the VHLM too, despite initial thoughts that his youth might hold him back. He is going to take interviews with several teams but there is a lot of good young talent out here. It does not appear that Exotic will be among those hearing bad news from coach between now and tonight, which is the date of next scheduled VHL games.
