Goaltender Jacques Lafontaine celebrating with captain Sigard Gunnar after the shutout.

CALGARY - Jacques Lafontaine is having a great season. The young goaltender has been good for the Calgary Wranglers and has shown them that he can be solid for them in between the pipes. There is some speculation that he could be the Rookie of The Year. That is, if they decide he's eligible. He's put up great numbers so far. Now, everybody knew he could win but he had never gotten a single shutout in the Victory Hockey League. Until that game.

"I dunno, I was just having a good game. Felt good, relaxed, focused. It was like I could predict where the puck was going. Shout out to my teammates for supporting me out there."

Calgary was going against D.C. that game and they were able to win 4-0 as Jacques Lafontaine was able to save all 28 of the Dragons' shots.

"Yeah, that was a good experience. It's a great confidence booster. I'll keep getting better though. There's always room to improve."
