Before we get to that I'll do a short run down of how we got this seasons starting ELO's. Each teams ELO was adjusted down or up towards the 1000 mark, losing a percentage of the difference. The higher/lower you were the more you lost/gained. Last seasons champs and finalist got a bonus and lost less. Teams also got gained or lost some ELO based on the Day 1 power ranking (based on Starting5 Next5 and goalie), with this LVA saw the biggest jump while HOU saw the largest drop. Now I won't show the math since it's messy so lets get onto the show. Last seasons champs Minnesota are 5-4-2 but have only dropped 60 ELO showing those losses are close. Mexico had a 30% win rate vs YUK but despite this they got blown out by 10 causing that giant drop and spike of MEX/YUK. LVA is slowly on the rise, keep and eye out for them.
