I grew up in Canada…and if you know anything about Canadians we freaking love our hockey and nearly everyone of us has dreamed at one point or another to be a professional hockey player tearing up the NHL. With the VHL I made my childhood dreams come true and now I have a little computer hockey player living out the dreams of my childhood. Through your player you can live that dream and become a professional hockey player.

 

You can channel your immaturity

No one here knows who you actually are and where you live and what you look like, therefore you can name your player something immature that brings you and others a good chuckle. You can name your player Harry Dick or perhaps Soiled Underwear! Whatever gives you a chuckle and brings joy to your day to day life. Afterall who wouldn’t smile watching Bangkok Yourmom score on star goalie Ham Burger, I know I would.

 

You can learn a new skill

Part of the VHL system is doing points tasks in order to boost the skills of your player at first it might seem redundant and lame but look at it in a different way! There are several tasks that involve creative writing and they can honestly boost your writing skills which are skills that anyone should really have in their day to day lives. You can also learn how to photoshop and make some sick photos of your player. Basically you can grow your skills in photo editing or writing and then spend your reward on those to make your player score better

 

You could win a freaking championship

Winning a VHL championship could be one of the pinnacle moments of your life. We all love to win something and winning a fake online championship with your fake online hockey star is a dream that I did not realize I had. Watching nail biting games and then checking the stats to see if your player can lead his team to the championship would be addicting (I would not know….) But if I did experience it I would love it.

 

Experience the best parts of being a hockey player

In the VHL your player will get to go through the highlights of an NHL off season, experience the thrills of a draft, the excitement of being a free agent and see your player get moved in a blockbuster trade that the community analyzes through their news reports. Right now player is in the lead up to the draft and it is genuinely exciting and I hope to be draft in a high round by a team that can use the skills and potential my player brings. This league is a really immersive one that allows you to live a hockey career through all the high and low points.

 

I recommend this league greatly and I have enjoyed the community here in my first month and I would recommend it to anyone wanting an escape right now.
