Another season has reached its completion and another class of Free Agent Mississagua Hounds has graduated. Some, like Andre LeBastard, may return to the warm embrace of the Hounds locker room as a player, if drafted by the organisation in the upcoming VHLM Dispersal Draft. Others will have to be content with a membership of the Mississagua Hounds Alumni Association, should they not hear their name called by the Hounds GM.

LeBastard waxed lyrical about just how valuable being included in the Hounds Alumni is for a young player. "I can't imagine how I would have learned the ropes, without all the help and encouragement I got when I decided to sign with the club". "So far, I have been able to learn so much about the League, how to progress, how to be a professional and how to 'git gud', which seems to be the thing to do." "Anyway, I'm so happy to have joined the club, I have nothing but praise for the new GM and all the others including former players who have helped me learn the game and have answered my questions since I signed." "I only played 17 games for the club, but I feel like I have been there for 17 years", added LeBastard.

So would hearing his name called by the Mississagua Hounds on draft day make Lebastard's draft-day experience even better? "It would be nice to stay in this organisation", he admitted.  "After they gave me my start, it would be nice to go on and help the club win, but to be 100% honest, I'm just happy to be here", he replied.
