Jarome Iginla claimed by Brampton!

The day was still early, Iginla had not even gotten out of his bed, last night, he had become a free agent in the Victory Hockey League Minors. Soon, the phone started to ring, Iginla jumped out of his bed and ran to get the phone.

 

"Hello? This is Damon Wolfe from the Brampton Blades, I am calling to inform you that you have been claimed by the organization, we felt you have what we need as a team to move forward. We have a game tonight and we need you here. How fast can you come to Brampton?"

 

Jarome Iginla could not speak. It had been so long since he has played hockey, and not even 12 hours after he become a free agent, he already had been claimed by a team. 

 

"Uhh, Uhh. Thanks Mr. Wolfe.. I am happy to join your team.. I need to let you know I haven't been on the ice in over 7 months so I may be rusty. I can try and make it to Brampton by 3:00?"

 

"Sounds good Iginla. There is still lots of games to go, you will fit right in with the team. See you at 3!"
