Welcome back to yet another season of me analysing the VHLM's ELO chart. Let's start with last season and how we adjusted for this season

I kept it more simple this season, every team moved 30% closer to 1000 ELO. This means OTT loses a big chunk while on the other end MIS bumps them up quite a bit.

Now Miami starts at 1000, with enough bonuses in expansion I feel it's fine to but them at the baseline.

OTT is worse off, as expected.

SDM and HOU may make me need another graph expansion at this rate.

Mexico is actually a decent team this season, we will see if they can keep it up and get above 1000

In theory most teams keep a chunk of their team. 

 

In VHL it makes perfect sense to keep most of a teams ELO (this is done in NHL ELO calcs to show progression over time)

VHLM it makes less sense but I did it last season so I'm just continuing it as it is still nice to "reward" teams for their past performance. Though I may increase the % loss/gain
