hylands 845
ESPN.mx -- It's been a remarkable start to the season in Mexico City when you consider the results of last season. A last place finish with a mere 12 wins had fans of the Kings wondering if their players were even good enough to play in the VHLM. Well, the fans have their answers and it seems that the rebuild in Mexico is paying off; with their team sitting in a playoff spot and keeping right on pace with the top teams in the league, things are starting to look up for the Mexico City Kings. One player that we would like to focus on is the Captain of the team Chris Hylands. Mexico City selected Hylands with the 1st overall selection in the VHLM dispersal draft, to the somewhat surprise of some others, and it may be working against the Kings. Sitting at 14 points through 14 games, Hylands is off to a slower start than the Kings would have hoped. In fact, if you look at players taken after him, you will find everyone up until the 11th selection currently has more points than the #1 choice. Comparing his production to his previous season you can see clear improvement, however the Kings have to be asking of more from their top choice and current Captain.
