Matty Socks, a fairly new recruit to the Las Vegas Aces, started his season well with a few assists. By game 64 against the Houston Bulls, Socks built up his momentum to come out as one of the stars for the Aces for the first time in his career. With two of the Aces' seven goals, Socks showed up and proved to his team that he was a strong recruit.

It wasn't until game 77 against the Ottawa Lynx that defenseman Matty Socks had a negative +/- in a game, ending with one assist and a -3. Soon after in game 79 against the San Diego Marlins, Socks redeemed his record with one goal, one assist, and a +2.

Socks coasted for a while with low but steady performances, averaging around 1 assist per game. Since game 123, Socks' +/- have been taking hard hits, often on the ice during the opposing teams' goals. With lessening assists, Socks will need to up his game if he hopes to keep up with his teammates, especially a strong first defensive line.
