Da Trifecta 1,899
Is Davey Back? Davey Jones has been feeling down about himself recently and he took some time to think. He has contemplated retirement one too many times and it took a toll on him. He hadn't practiced with the team for awhile and it has been hurting him. Ever since then he has been deciding that he wants to stick it out long term. So he decided to contact some of his teammates and get back on the right track. He set up a few practice sessions with some of them and since then he has been rolling. He has been getting goals and assists at a pretty good rate this season. Ever since being put on the first line, he has been playing a little bit better than last season. Davey is just excited as ever that he will continually pair up with his longtime friend and teammate from Bratislava and during his career in Davos, Tom Landry. Davey also had contacted his parents as he wanted to reconnect with them as he hasn't seen them in a while. He has been too busy with his schedule and playing hockey, that he hasn't visited them. So he called his mother and scheduled a time to come out. He was excited that he would finally get some of his mothers home cooking to ease his soul. He was set to board the plane on a Monday morning and he had to return by Wednesday. He arrived at the airport and checked his luggage in and he boarded his plane. When the plane lifted off, they told everyone that they were safe to use electronics. He got out his iPod and his headphones and quickly turned on some music. He wanted to relax and be fully rested by time he landed. After being on the plane for countless hours, he got well rested and he hit down in Orlando, Florida. He knew that it was a few hour drive from Miami, so he rented a car to drive up to his parents house. Upon arrival, his mother had greeted him at the door as he had rang the doorbell. She was excited to finally see her boy. She gave him a hug and kissed him and said that she had missed him dearly. She wanted to know how everything had been going in his life and he said he would explain it all over dinner. He asked where his father was and his mother said he was out working on a new car he had bought. When Davey went out to the garage, he saw that his father had bought a 1969 Chevy Camaro SS. When he approached his father, he asked him if he needed any assistance. His father said, "Sure thing boy. Can you hand me that socket wrench over there." Davey knew things were like the old days when he said that. He stayed outside to help his father while his mother cooked. When dinner was done, Davey and his dad went inside and they ate. Davey explained about being traded from Cologne to Davos and how he won a cup. His mom congratulated him and Davey told her he was off to bed for an early morning. The following day he took her shopping then he packed up and awaited to leave Wednesday. He said his goodbyes and then headed to the airport to head back to Davos. Guest Svoboda_3
Content: 3/3 571 words. Well it's good to see you doing the work and not focusing so much on retirement. You had a good Media Spot here again, but I wish it ended differently, with almost a segway where you discussed the importance of the visit and how it rejuvenated you somehow. I won't dock for that, but I think always reaching for a good story is a must, especially if we need to read it.Grammar: 2/2 Well-done. mothers = mother's hour = hours there." = there?" awaited = waited Appearance: 1/1 Pictures, a colored title, not much more needed. I also like the consistency with the Seguin pictures.Overall: 6/6 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/8572-claimedback-on-track/#findComment-79713 Share on other sites
