My Random VHL Thoughts - S72 - Part 5

• So, my re-create is finally here. First player I've ever gone 8 seasons with, and my current player is the player I spent the least amount of time thinking about a name...literally decided about 30 seconds before creation. It's funny looking back and seeing where I was at for each player and how each player almost represents a different point in my life.
  • Jim - High school senior/summer going into freshmen year of college. I distinctly remember being at my then girlfriend, now fiancee's college (Millersville) and somewhat hiding writing a media spot, only for her to find it and me to have to explain what the hell a sim league is and why I find it fun.
  • Robin - Created while I was a rising junior. I had an internship where I didn't have a ton of work to do, and I remember spending a ton of time going over this player's name, build, and also building the S35 and S36 Ottawa Lynx
  • Bernie - I guess this would have been around the time I was finishing up college and starting my job search. Also the point in time where I least enjoyed the VHL because this player was absolutely terrible relative to expectations and TPE level. 
  • Shayne - When I started to drop from my peak VHL activity and stepped down from Blue Team...so maybe a year or so into my career? Fun player, won a lot of cups in Helsinki, and a relatively easier time for me from a work/life balance perspective.
  • Jeff - When I took a step up in my career and also the closest I ever came to becoming an actual inactive player...I even think I was re-signed by Davos as an inactive player after my rookie season. Always used as my example to others that you can recover from inactivity early on in your career and still have a good experience. Coincidentally, also a player that I was going to use a 99 scoring 40 passing build on before it was apparently OP (still don't necessarily believe that it is on our engine) but the results were so bad, I increased passing at some point to at least 70.
  • Smitty - When even was S65? Like...a year and a half ago? At this point, I knew my job title/position within the company was being eliminated, but also knew that there were a couple of landing spots for me in the same company. Easily my best player and the most work I've ever put into a player because I knew/thought it was the last time I'll be able to do so...which is probably true, but not necessarily 100% true.

 

I should have just made this a media spot...and I might do that later.

Not a reflection of my VHL career with each player, but where I was personally.

 

Any media I do would include more info about each player's VHL career.

I mean, pretty sure she was watching Pretty Little Liars or something, so they cancelled each other out.
