The decision of recreation

Recreating is something that I have been looking forward too for a while now. For me playing through depreciation is not that fun but I understand why it needs to be done. It is the earning and applying TPE that I find most fun, seeing your player improve as you put in the time and effort. During the depreciation stages I feel I have really been slacking with my TPE. Doing it extremely late in the week, ignoring my VSN job and just not enjoying it as much.

 

So now on to recreating, I see that there is two main times to recreate that is the trade deadline or the changeover time where you can still get a your current player to play the full season whilst starting a new guy. Let us dive deep into the pros and cons of each and a bit of insight into what I think personally, plus what I will do next season. If any VHLM GMs are listening out there.

 

Firstly, let us look at the one that I think is more attractive to people and that is the Trade deadline. Pros of course is that this is the way that you are going to be the top TPE player in your draft class if you create at the earliest possible moment for your draft, also you can see which teams in the VHLM are doing well giving you the best opportunity at choosing the winning team, provided that they have space for you. Lastly you get to spend the most time with your Older player maybe you add that last little bit of TPE to truly make them a star, or maybe you need to earn a bit more TPE to make the 1250 carryover cap. The cons are mostly a personal choice, but I will go through them anyway. One, you will need to play two seasons in the VHLM and some people would rather get straight into the big leagues. Another is that if you are someone who like me, loves earning all the TPE and being able to apply it you have a “boring” season 8 as you are already full build and then one season in the VHLM where you are pretty much capped the whole time.

 

Next, we will talk about recreating at the start of the season, this is the time when you can retire a player, but they will still play out the last of their season. Essentially if you want to look at it the pros and cons of this method are going to be the inverse of the pros and cons of the other method.

 

Now onto my plans, if you couldn’t tell by what I wrote above than that must mean I am an unbiased journalist, but I think everyone can tell what I am going to do. I will be recreating at the start of the season and I will be creating Simon T’s least favourite position, that is all the information I am willing to share at this time but VHLM GMs remember that during the draft you might be able to pick me up afterwards but I will want maximum ice time.

This could very well turn into an official intro read for new players at the rate you are going. Got good solid information here and i hope the next continuing article has more. Adding some headers and formatting different sections would make it look better though. Essentially as block of text despite you having good content. Hopefully you add some colors, maybe some pictures to make it a more entertaining read as well.

If it wasn't a rush job on Google docs to get it in before the week ending I probably would have, I might go edit it eventually so it's easier to read
