Intro

The Menace have been a well oiled machine for most of the season. and while the stars get the spotlight a lot of the time, it's the younger players that get pushed to the background. there have been some quietly great performances from Moscow's rookies and prospects. I have made this somewhat of a tradition, seeing so many players in my shoes where I was about a year ago. I can't sit on the sidelines and not recognize the lesser known players at Moscow. I will not be including any players who have gone inactive.

Moscow Rookies

There are 2 (active) rookies on the roster for Moscow. Center Cole Newhook may have been a late 3rd round pick in S72, but he's playing more like an early second that made it to the big league's a season too late. Newhook has put up 42 points in 64 games in his rookie season. Last year, Newhook threw up 98 points in his final VHLM season, so it looks like he's showing he can produce on the big stage as well. Another center in Angellini, who was a part of the same draft as Newhook. Except drafted even.....later? this 47OA (yes I can't believe my eyes either) pick is continuing to rack up decent amounts of TPE, plus he's put up 21 goals and 20 assists so far this season. It's hard to believe those numbers for both players are young depth numbers at the moment, but it really shows just how deep this Menace group is this year.

Moscow Prospects

Alex Zouzouambe- Drafted 37OA in S74, RW Zouzou is currently having his breakout VHLM year (I remember mine?) and on pace for about 80 points with Saskatoon. Zouzou has every chance at playing for the Menace within the next couple years. With a bit for TPE production, and your looking at a steal of another late pick by yours truly @Victor.

Breeze Ladrian- I noticed that this Defenseman went inactive for almost a month before coming back this week. He was drafted late in the 4th round, but has some pretty good VHLM numbers the past couple season, hovering at a point every 2 games for pace. With the right mindset and push, he could make the Menace team a couple years down the road.

Fat Palloon- Drafted 33OA in S73, Palloon has been a defensemen on the rise as he's starting to make a case to replace the inactive Stansson for next year. He's on pace to get nearly 80 points in what is looking like his last VHLM season before the big leagues.

Michael Hall- This has been a waiting pick for quite a while now, but he could find himself up with Moscow next season with the right amount of TPE. Hall is a great LW in the VHLM. He's solidified his name and pedigree in the VHLM with his last 2 seasons being well over a PPG, the question now becomes, is he ready to make the step into the VHL, and if not quite yet, how soon?
