RomanesEuntDomus 442
Hello VHL, I'm back! Some of you might still remember me from way back in the day or from some other some leagues but most of you probably won't know me at all, so I'm looking forward to meeting all you guys! Until then, let me take this opportunity and use my first Media Spot article to tell you a little bit about my plans for my player... Robin Galante Nilsson is a Defenseman out of Sweden. At 6'3 and 210 lbs he is a mature physical player already but his skills are still quite raw and will require some development time. I actually haven't quite decided yet what kind of build I want to aim for, but no matter if I will go for an offensive or defensive focus long term, the most important thing for now and in general is to be reliable and not a liability in your own end. So Defense, Skating and Passing will be a focus early on as I build towards being a valuable part of a defensive corps out there. Offensive Value for a Defenseman doesn't necessarily come from big shots, shattering hits and risky but perfect passes, but from driving possession by being as reliable as possible in your own end by limiting giveaways, winning pucks through positional play and distributing them to your teammates, often with very simple and not flashy at all passes. The more your team has the puck the more it will be able to score, it's pretty simple. Probably the bigger questions lie off the ice and to be completely honest, I really don't know yet how to approach and what to expect from my new stint in the VHL. I will try to be a reliable and consistent member and player who shows a good attitude and keeps an open mind, but I'm not sure yet how much time I will be able to devote to this league or how I will approach issues like Free Agency and so on. My last few players in other leagues have all been very loyal, often spending their entire career with the same franchise, so maybe I will want to change things up a bit this time around and be a bit more opportunistic while hunting cups and statlines. But as I said, none of this has been decided yet, so feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, be it in the Press Conference I will open up shortly or via PM. I plan to be consistently active and reliable as I already mentioned but will I be able to earn the full 12 every season? Probably not, so if that means that I will drop a bit the Draft then that's fine. I've done the whole "Race for the top-pick" thing already so at this point just finding a team that is a good fit is more important to me than bragging rights. Well at least that's what I say now, maybe ask me about that again come Draft time and things might look very different . Crstats23 342
Review Good job, the paragraphs are well spaced and it’s easy to see where one thought ends and the next starts, I like how you included your other players and what you did with them in free agency. rating 10/10 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/93833-what-to-expect-from-robin-galante-nilsson/#findComment-788768 Share on other sites
