Toast 887
TOAST PLAYER AGENCY REPRESENTING NEW CLIENT Phoenix Dawson, a prospect from the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, has declared for the S76 VHL Entry Draft GLACE BAY, NS — A press release from the Toast Player Agency was released late Saturday evening to announce that their newest client, 19-year-old Phoenix Dawson, was the most recent prospect to announce their intention to join the VHL. Toast’s most recent client, Larry Butz, retired after being released by Yukon in the VHLM. While many expected the Toast agency to fade away, it seems that Steven Smyl is making one last attempt to bring a superstar to the VHL and VHLM. “Phoenix has been a fantastic center for Cape Breton,” Smyl said in the release. “A talent like this setting his sights on the VHL is huge for the league and will hopefully bring some exciting talent to the S76 class.” While all eyes are on the S75 Draft currently, there is quite the crop of prospects so far for S76 and Dawson faces quite the challenge if he intends to be one of the best in the class. At a low 44 practice hours so far, there is not much to report on for this new talent. It seems though there is a drive to succeed. “I have wanted to play pro hockey my whole life,” announced Dawson. “I know it is still quite some time before the VHLM Dispersal Draft, but I look forward to meeting with teams in the coming weeks.” With two seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Dawson found himself service as the Screaming Eagle’s second line center most of the time. With a big body, Dawson was also relied upon during the penalty kill and seems to be where his game is focused. “I’m trying to be the best two-way player in the game,” said Dawson. “I want to be someone a team can rely on to get it done in the dot and at both ends of the ice.” A lot of VHL fans on social media were quick to point out the fact that Phoenix shares a name with VHL’s Chicago-based team, thinking that the prospect should just be auto-assigned to their team. “It has been awhile since I’ve done anything substantial with the league,” said Smyl. “I look forward to getting reacquainted with everything and catching up on what we’ve missed through our uninspired prospects. “I definitely feel like that not only Dawson, but I also have something that I need to prove to the VHL. We are going to bring a talented player to the league and we are going to put in the work to make sure that Dawson becomes one of the best players.” With the off-season looming, major focus is still on the playoffs so it will be some time to see if this prospect even makes it to the VHLM. Smyl has been very active on social media sharing clips of their new client on the ice preparing for whatever comes, but is there a team that is willing to take a chance on a player represented by a tarnished agency? RomanesEuntDomus 442
Woooo Toasty!! Nice article, i'm pretty excited we get to share a draft class together for i think the first time even and looking foward to what your player can do. Good write-up on your player so far which already makes me curious to learn a bit more about him through the career point tasks. The only small issue I have is that I'm not a big fan of some of your layout choices, it's a few too many/short paragraphs for my liking.
