Patrik Tallinder 1,087
RavenSkill Development Well-Represented in VHL Finals Presented By Lucas Tallinder The pinnacle of the VHL season is upon us, and the Continental Cup is moments away from being awarded to either the Helsinki Titans or Vancouver Wolves. Two of our clients find themselves in the running for the league’s most important trophy, namely Spencer Elsby and Onde Sandstrom. The series has been unbelievably close so far, standing at 3-2 at the moment. Every goal is huge from this point on, and every save is crucial. To this point, Sandstrom has been a quality contributor on the forecheck, providing ignant energy and a hint of offensive flair. His 7 points in 18 games have been a nice touch of secondary scoring for the Wolves, and his 2 penalty minutes are remarkably low for his physical play-style. This is the exact player you want on your team during the playoffs — he’s hard working, disciplined, offensively talented, and he finishes every check. It’s crazy to think he’ll be getting so much better in the next few seasons as well. Elsby has been a key contributor all over the ice for Helsinki, putting his exceptional two-way game on full display. He ranks fourth among all defenders in points this postseason, and ranks in the top ten of both plus-minus and shots blocked. As Elsby blossoms into a superstar-caliber blueliner, this playoff run could potentially be remembered as the moment where he broke out into one of the league’s finest in that position en route to a Continental Cup. As this season’s winner is still up in the air, I wish all the Titans and Wolves players the best for today’s sims.
