Malmo going into S75. What can we expect?

 

Malmo for S75. To be honest, I expect a lot and I have a feeling that we will do quite a lot better than most people could expect. We made quite a few important moves. First of all, I think it is important for me to talk about the Walker trade. Yes, I know, it might seem completely weird to trade a 2nd Overall player that should have been a future star of Nighthawks when Adrienne retires but you see, that was the most important thing. Adrienne still have a season to play and at that point, Walker was not doing great statistically and we both (ADV and I) felt that it probably is the best thing for his player to trade him and get some important value back. That 1st we got for trading Walker is going to help us get a player that could, in fact, be a replacement for Adrienne. Surely, it is sad to trade franchises first GM away but it seemed to be the best thing to hope for. 

I think that the acquisition of Sasakamoose was very important as we get a seasoned veteran with huge experience and a cup win already added to his resume. He has proved to be an amazing player and overall, I think that he has all the tools to be the best right here with Malmo. 

I think it is important for me to talk about the draft too. S74 was the first draft I didn’t have picks going into the draft. It also was very weird as we had tons and tons of amazing players available. For me it was this - I thought about it hard and knowing that some things might change for Malmo I decided to go and grab one of the best players going into the draft Artem Tretiak. I know, many people have their opinions on Molholt but honestly, my experience with him while he was on Bulls in S68, a season when we won Founder’s cup, was more than amazing. I think that he is going to fit in with is tremendously and I think his career is going to blossom! 

For our team, it is going to be important to adjust to the fact that our Nr1 C Lewis Dawson is starting to hit regression and for us that means one important thing - who do we play as our 1st C - Dawson or Sheilds.. I guess I will have to think about it soon. 

I think S75 is going to be a season where our amazing Chris Hylands is going to shine and players like Kamenov and Wakaro are going to have incredible seasons compared to ones they have had. I predict not only point increases but hugely better defensive stats for both of our young defencemen. 
 

I think it is going to be tough. Many amazing teams in EU, I think we are Top 3 there easily. Probably Top 2, just behind Moscow. For me, this season is going to be important as I want to stay and keep Malmo competitive as long as I can. The team is ready to win, everyone is eager. 
 

I guess that will be it for me.
