Dawson Moved to Third

With Miami not battling for the top of the Eastern conference, it was no surprise when team management released the line-ups for the upcoming games showing that rookie Phoenix Dawson was being moved to the third line to give fellow rookie Green Gaming a chance as the second line center. Going into the season it wasn't expected that Dawson was going to crack the top 6 but some strong work ethic seemed to change management's mind until today. 

 

"I think of it as a challenge," said Dawson. "I'm still new to this league and I want to do everything that I can to help the team. If that means that I'm going to be on the third line, that's all right. I'm going to do whatever I can with the time that I'm given on the ice and hopefully I will get a chance at top line duties again soon."

 

Dawson is regarded as a possible first-round pick in the upcoming VHL Entry Draft and going into the halfway point of the season he continues to turn heads. He currently leads the season 76 crop on the team in practice hours and is putting up a respectable amount of points as well. Regarded as someone who is a little more to himself in the locker room, this may be a call out to get more involved with the team.
