The end feels real for Hextall now

We all know how the system works, once you've had your VHL draft you got 8 seasons. Doesn't matter how many of them you spend in the VHLM after it, the clock is ticking, and for Hextall is feeling more real than ever now. Drafted back in season 70 Jaxx Hextall only has two more season left before he is pushed out of the league. This system is rough as many who join the VHL are usually young, sometimes as young as 16 and that can leave just in their mid 20's by the time they have to leave which is usually when a player is in their prime. Hextall will Turn 24 just before season 76 starts meaning when he is forced out he'll only be 25. Hextall of course spent his first season post VHL draft in the M, he was ready for the big leagues but the team wasn't quite ready, the Legion were just starting a rebuild back then. In a very recent call with the Legion netminder he stated that he wished he did come in slightly later to be apart of the season 71 draft and that he could be in Toronto till season 78, but at the same time if he wasn't apart of the season 70 draft it's very possible he might have not even gone there. We also asked him about his future plans, he simply stated that he would love to move on to NHL and hopefully play against Lafontaine, who has already stated he'd like to move to the NHL to, and Spyro. Only time will tell but Hextall still has two season left to play in the VHL.
