Eagles Shot Down Early

Yet another 1st round exit for the Iron Eagles had heads shaking.

 

VASTERAS, Sweden - For the 2nd time in as many seasons, the Vasteras Iron Eagles were eliminated in the first round by the Riga Reign. As if the early exit wasn't embarrassing enough, the Iron Eagles were eliminated in less games this season than last season, which was the first playoff series for most of the roster. A major reason for the series loss was the mediocre play by franchise goaltender, Eggly Bagelface; his terrible play being completely out of character. If Vasteras wants to win this season, stars like Bagelface and Janssen must be on the absolute top of their game. With brand-new S39 draft selection and hometown boy Devin Sundberg joining the team, as well as a mystery defenseman, the Iron Eagles need to go all in for the championship, especially with some of the core players (Bagelface and Janssen) starting to show their age. It felt like only yesterday that Vasteras drafted Janssen 2nd overall and received Bagelface via the GM rule in S34, and now both players are already depreciating. How times flies.
