  1. I have already been told that I will be a changed man after watching it. But the curiosity is too strong...
  2. Pretty sure the implied I was joking around. I feel like I've known many of the people here long enough that we can make those kinds of jokes at each other.
  3. Two hours a night? Oh no, that's so much. It's not like I sit around doing fuck all either. Psycho was on last year's list, and I watched It Follows earlier this year
  4. Made a change to the list. I've seen Friday the 13th a bunch, rather than just watching the original every year I figure I should go through the whole series. SO NOW IT'S PART 2!
  5. I have no issue playing Weber or Corrado. Sbisa however? Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh.
  6. Or because it'd be nice for Markstrom to suddenly realize his potential. I don't think it's going to take much to surpass Miller this year.
  7. Markstrom's lateral movement looks much better than it did in the Calder Cup Final, so I have hope for him yet. That was his biggest issue that I could spot while following the Comets' playoff run. We're going to need one of the two to step up and replace Miller soon, possibly even this season.
  8. They shouldn't have needed overtime to beat that Flames team, though. The OT winner was in large part Bartkowski's fault for losing his man, but all three regulation goals on Miller were awful.
  9. The biggest issue with Prust is that the team is already paying Dorsett $2.5 million to be the same player, but a few years younger and a lot faster. He's redundant. Vey and Sbisa don't need any further explanation.
  10. It began a while ago, but nice of you to notice.
  11. If Prust, Vey, and Sbisa got dropped so we could have Gaunce, McCann, and Hutton I would be so happy. All three have had excellent pre-seasons.
  12. Almost, is the keyword. Almost isn't a win. Miller is fucking terrible. Gaunce, McCann, and Hutton had very good games tonight, though. Best Canucks not named Horvat. Need to see them against more NHL competition, but I'm tempted to say management needs to make space for them on the roster. Gaunce especially should make the team with Higgins' injury. Nice to see some of the kids coming to play at least. Horvat is just fun to watch. The Hamhuis-Bartkowski pairing was solid through regulation as well, I could see that sticking. Wait, what's that, I was mostly positive in this post? But yeah, Miller still fucking sucks. I want Lack back.
  13. A mediocre player who still looks mediocre in the pre-season isn't going to magically get better come October. Sutter was a terrible trade and terrible extension, but you can keep fooling yourself to believe otherwise.
  14. Sure, the deal isn't Sutter's fault. His being completely invisible on the ice is though. He's not even doing the whole "faceoff ace, shutdown centre" thing well. P.S. Do you honestly think free agents give a shit what I say on an internet forum? LOL
  15. So... Everyone's a bunch of pussies?
  16. MASSIVE SEASON 6 SPOILERS IF YOU WANNA LOOK
  17. Depends on what you go for, really. Some of them are tough to sit through just because they're a much slower pace than what we're accustomed to with modern movies, some because of really awful acting, and then there's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre which is still absolutely horrifying and I won't watch it anymore despite absolutely adoring it.
  18. A few of them should be up there still. Some are available for free on YouTube, strangely enough. Others you'll have to acquire through other means.
  19. Anyone wanna join me on my 31 day sorta-marathon this October? I didn't quite finish last year, but I intend to watch all 31 movies on my list (one per day) this year. Thought it might be fun to have more people play along with me, we can talk about the movies and shit and get in the spirit of the month because Halloween is just the best. I tried to get a mix of different sub genres of horror, as well as a mix of some classics I've already seen, classics I haven't seen, and a few newer releases. Here's the list as it stands right now (Sept 23), I'll update the OP if I make any changes: Oct 1 - NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (1968) Oct 2 - MANIAC (2012) Oct 3 - EVENT HORIZON (1997) Oct 4 - VIDEODROME (1983) Oct 5 - GHOSTBUSTERS (1984) Oct 6 - THE DESCENT (2005) Oct 7 - CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST (1980) Oct 8 - YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN (1974) Oct 9 - FROM DUSK TILL DAWN (1996) Oct 10 - YOU'RE NEXT (2011) Oct 11 - HELLRAISER (1987) Oct 12 - BRAINDEAD (1992) Oct 13 - FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2 (1981) Oct 14 - WES CRAVEN'S NEW NIGHTMARE (1994) Oct 15 - THE FLY (1986) Oct 16 - CREEPSHOW (1982) Oct 17 - THE HAUNTING (1963) Oct 18 - SLEEPAWAY CAMP (1983) Oct 19 - RE-ANIMATOR (1985) Oct 20 - SCREAM (1996) Oct 21 - AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON (1981) Oct 22 - HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH (1982) Oct 23 - THE TAKING OF DEBORAH LOGAN (2014) Oct 24 - TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE (1983) Oct 25 - HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES (2003) Oct 26 - A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (1984) Oct 27 - PHANTASM (1979) Oct 28 - 28 DAYS LATER (2002) Oct 29 - TRICK 'R TREAT (2007) Oct 30 - BEETLEJUICE (1988) Oct 31 - HALLOWEEN (1978)
  20. No, they need some high draft picks used on elite offensive talent. "Super ugly" would be the hockey purgatory of not good enough for the playoffs, but not shitty enough to draft in the top 10. When have I ever called Baertschi a saviour? He's a promising prospect who looks threatening when he has the puck in the offensive zone. Not many Canucks who fit that bill period. I don't know why I keep needing to explain this. It's not complex. I would rather they suck and get a high draft pick, but management is hellbent on the playoffs. My frustrating comes from the fact that they are 1) so fucking adamantly doing that and 2) doing a shitty job of making a playoff team. They think they have improved the team, and I don't want the idiots with that mindset in charge of the inevitable rebuild.
  21. Baertschi was the biggest threat to score on that god forsaken line last night. Vrbata floated around the outside of the ice and threw the puck at the net, and Sutter was just... there. And what are you talking about? Yeah, they're going to miss the playoffs, but the problem is management is fucking delusional and think they got better. They need higher draft picks, more draft picks, and elite talent to replace the Sedins in a few years. Instead they're going to get middling picks, they're trading picks away, and they don't have anyone to take up the torch from the Twins. Things need to change or it's gonna get super ugly in four years.
  22. We've already gone from "wait to see them play" to "wait for the regular season". Ha. Okay. Of course he won't be the first line centre, but they're forcing the square peg into the round hole of the second line centre. Sutter between Baertschi and Vrbata did not work at all. He was bad. Deal with it. It'll be a different group tomorrow, I assume with the Sedins playing... so I certainly hope the game will be better.
  23. Because they're a bad hockey team. Duh.
