  5. The date, July 8th 2015 Oslo Storm face off against the strong Saskatoon Wild team. Only 1 point separates the Wild and the Storm for first place Overall in the VHLM. Everyone took their seats in the stand as they knew this was going to be a good game of hockey, two of the best teams in the league face-off for bragging rights in the VHLM. Who would win? Who will come out on top? Le'Sean Coutzen Got the game started early at 11:55 of the first period and Oslo is up one nothing after one period. Both teams managed to only retain 1 penalty and both PK units were working well tonight as no power play goals were scored. With the second period underway Oslo came out looking to prove themselves and scored early on, they took advantage of an early penalty by Erik Hedman and scored only 31 second into the second period. Bobby Boucher wins a key face off in the Wild's end and he sends the puck to Chuck who doesn't waste anytime depositing it into the net behind goaltender Ariel Weinstein. Chuck celebrates and jumps into Bobby's arms knowing that he had just gotten his very first VHLM point. The team celebrates and Bobby skates off the ice where he is congratulated by his coach and teammates. Oslo would add one more in regulation time before allowing 3 goals in a row by the Wild to tie up the game. This one was going to need extra time as both teams were tied at three. OT wouldn't solve this one, a shootout was needed between the two best teams in the league, and the fans were really getting their money’s worth tonight. They would only need three shooters each as Evgeny Nezhmetdinov would score on Oslo's last chance in the first round of shooters, the Wild had one more chance to send it to the second round but Casper Salomon would be stopped by Sandro Clegane. Oslo wins! Oslo wins! What a game between two great teams Oslo took it by the skin of their teeth. We can’t wait until the next match up between these two great teams I'm sure it will be another close one! The next matchup will be game 106 on day 43, we look forward to this meeting as both teams show great skill and promise. Fans are sure to get their money’s worth with this matchup, we will see how the two teams sit in the standings when this came comes to town but we guarantee it will be a good one. Bobby Boucher will be looking to score his first VHLM goal in the coming games, but with his first point and assist under his belt he feels that much more confident in his value here in the VHLM.

  12. BOBBY BOUCHER # 09 Center Toronto, Ontario Bobby Boucher grew up in the small town of Caledon Ontario North of Toronto here he played for the Caledon Coyote’s hockey team. Bobby grew up around hockey, Son of Rick Boucher who is known for is short stint in the NHL playing for the California Golden Seals. Rick dedicated his life to helping progress his son’s career. The two of them were often found at the local rink practicing drills and playing scrimmages with the local boys. Rick wanted Bobby to get the most exposure to the great game as possible. Bobby played hockey all his young life and when in high school at the height of 6'-3" Bobby was known as one of the bigger more athletic students. Bobby attended Humberview secondary school for grade 9 where he was approached by the high school hockey coach Jeff Granger. After seeing him skate at tryouts Jeff approached Bobby about attending a private school dedicated to developing the skills of young players. Bobby transferred to the Hill Academy a world renowned hockey school for the development of young Canadian players. Here Bobby was able to truly hone in on his assets, he was trained to use his great size and strength as a power forward. His scoring ability was astonishing for his size and his weakness of passing, he was able to use his brute strength and size to penetrate the D and rocket shots past the goalie. Bobby graduated with flying colors atop of his hockey class. After graduating Bobby was contacted by many Junior A teams, The Orangeville flyers were very interested and as a home town kid they thought he would make a big statement signing with their team but it was the Toronto Patriots the interested Bobby the most, he later signed with the young Toronto team where his quick climb to captain and scoring leader was well documented by local and often major sports casters. Bill Sanders of VHL Weekly analyzed the young star to find his strengths and weakness her is what he found: STRENGTHS 1. Boucher has pure size and strength at 6'-6"! he can use his height to wire shots an an un-believable speed 2. Great eye for the game, we believe this come from his many years of experience and his push from his father to always be involved and around the game. the game of hockey is this guys life! 3. Great teammate, he was captain for all his year in Toronto and he did a great job doing do he brought home three title to the great team and kept his teammates in line and happy while doing do WEAKNESSES 1. His size is a strength and weakness, sometimes it causes him to loose the 1 on 1 race do to speed restrictions from his size 2. This guy can pass but we encourage him to work on his forehand and backhand sauce to get more accurate feeds 3. We encourage Boucher to continue work on his physical play, although he is a huge center he sometimes shy's away from making the necessary hit. We think with a little added physical play he can be a number 1 center. CONCLUSION All around Bobby Boucher is a great play maker and scorer, and has an excellent vision of game up there at 6'-6" (6'-9" on skates). he knows everything about hockey and knows the flow of the game he can read an interception and position himself in the perfect place to receive the pass. If he continues to work on his saucer pass and physical game we think Boucher will be a player to watch for in the coming years.
