  1. Rollins On the Move? By Dean Ambrose Don’t go running to the Ottawa team store anytime soon to get your official Seth Rollins jersey. This is, of course, if you believe the rumblings coming out of the VHLM rumor mill. Rollins, a rookie, has had a muted impact thus far on the team that took a waiver risk to bring him into the fold. After having visa issues at the beginning of the season, it took longer for Rollins to see the ice and that may have resulted in messing with Seth’s mentality. As of the time this article was written, Rollins has been completely the opposite of what he was scouted as. Seth was expected to be an explosive goal scorer, and he’s been anything but that. Seth has only netted nine goals this season, and he’s going to have to work a lot harder at burying the biscuit in the basket if he wants to make it to a top line in the VHL. Rollins currently leads his team with 30 points in 27 games. This would be impressive if it led to any team wins for the Lynx, but even with Rollins being a modest contributor, the team continues to be awful. Rollins has been all smiles even through a hard season in Ottawa. If you take a quick glance at the standings, you’d see that Ottawa is one spot out of the VHLM playoffs. If you decide to dig deeper, however, you’ll soon see that their 2-29 record is historically atrocious. When it comes to organized professional hockey, the Ottawa Lynx are right up there with the all-time worst teams. Of course, as fate would have it, Ottawa isn’t even the worst team in the VHLM this year. That honor goes to the Blades, who are 1-30, with only two points in the standings. This unusually bad season is a perfect motivational tool for Rollins to play well, in order to get the attention of a team poised to make a splash in the post season. Rollins could be a decent option for depth if a championship contender wanted to take the chance on the young center. When asked about a potential change of scenery, Rollins had this to say: “First things first, hockey is a business at this point. I understand that Ottawa is struggling this season, and they’re looking for value down the line. Quite frankly, that’s fine by me. I’m not here to cause problems. All I want to do is lace up my skates, go out there, and prove that I belong. I’ve had a season below what I’ve expected thus far on a personal level, but I know that I have a long way to go. It’ll be a long journey, but I know that I have the mental strength to deal with this. I love Ottawa and the fans here, but if my career takes me elsewhere, I need to embrace it.” Rollins can be a play maker in the right situation. While this has been a season from hell for Ottawa fans, at least they can rest at night knowing that their farm system produced a player like Rollins. Seth, while hard on himself, has been effective on an ineffective team this season. Rollins surely won’t win any awards this season, but he can make a foot print for his future. Seth Rollins could be sprung into a VHLM playoff picture within days, and if it happens, expect Rollins to flourish.

  9. Seth Rollins Rookie Report Overview Seth Rollins Center 19 Years Old 6’3” 230 lbs. What to Expect? What exactly is it that Seth Rollins brings to the table? Seth Rollins is a blue chip prospect who could be a top contributor to a VHL playoff team by the time his career is all said and done. Will he be the all-time points leader? Certainly not, Rollins doesn’t project as a once in a generation talent. He does, though, bring a lot to the teams he plays for. Seth has been playing this game for his entire life and will be successful at it, but at no point has he ever been known as “the next big thing”. His hockey IQ is off the charts, and he’s like another coach when he’s on the ice. He has a habit of telling his teammates where they should be, which is great if the talent around him is great. If Rollins finds himself on a bad team, then these players will most likely rely too heavily on Rollins and the team will suffer when he’s taking a breather on the bench. Seth could be a great captain someday, especially at the minor league level. Rollins may be a silly goober off of the ice, but when it comes down to business his focus is second to none. While his hockey intelligence is a huge strength, his skills also make scouts notice his game. Rollins will make at least one highlight reel play per game, or find himself to be in the “right place at the right time”. This happens so frequently that it’s no longer considered a coincidence, but considered to be the result of Seth’s incredible pregame preparation. Seth watches a lot of film, so he’s able to exploit weak points on opposing defenses and goalies. Rollins should score a lot of goals this season, but don’t expect him to lead the league in assists. He’s a shoot first kind of guy, and he’s always looking to pad his stats. This is going to have to be worked on once he reaches the next level, but it’s not necessarily a bad thing at the minor league level. If he has the same mentality on a VHL team, it’s going to be problematic and could end up holding back his team. It’s going to be up to the coaches and veterans to make sure Rollins has his head on straight. Seth’s hockey profile goes back many years. His grandfather, father, and all three of his uncles played professional hockey at one point in their lives. Seth used this hockey pedigree to his advantage and was accepted into Wilson Academy in Newton, Massachusetts. From Wilson, Seth managed to make a name for himself. He finished each of his four seasons in high school in the top eight goal scorers throughout the entire country. He brought national attention to his high school team, where they managed to win one state championship and lose three consecutive championship games to finish out Seth’s high school career. He’s tasted both sides of the hockey cake, the delicious marble layering of victory; and the disappointing carrot-cake like texture of coming up short. Dessert comparisons aside, Rollins has always been a great complimentary piece to winning teams. If he can find a similar fit on a VHL team, he will have a successful career. Losing hockey games feels like poorly made carrot cake inside of your mouth. The only question here, is what if Rollins exceeds expectations? Just because he’s never been the top dog before in his life certainly doesn’t exclude him from doing it at the highest level the game has to offer. In this expert’s opinion, it isn’t likely that Rollins will be a franchise player; but it wouldn’t put me into shock either. The possibility is there, but is the desire? Rollins could suffer a serious burnout from the game of hockey if he becomes successful at the highest level of the game he loves. He wouldn’t be the first professional athlete to become complacent once reaching the highest point, and he assuredly won’t be the last. If Rollins goes above and beyond, he could end up being a special story.
  10. Believe in Rollins “Believe” is the single comment that prospect Seth Rollins gave reporters after his VHLM practice facility appearance earlier today. Only one day after officially declaring for the VHLM, Rollins today gave his workout for VHLM general managers to display his talents. According to all reports, Rollins looked like a natural in front of the league’s authority figures. There are at least three teams interested in Rollins, which goes to show that the center may not be a flash in the pan like some doubters think. Rollins realizes that he will miss the beginning of the regular season, but is itching to make an impact as soon as possible. Rollins had a cold focus on his face the entire time, rarely changing from an intense scowl. He has one goal, and it’s to prove to the world that he’s cut out for the game he’s dedicated his life to. Rollins has given hockey everything that he can, but will hockey now give him something back? Seth will look back on his first VHLM season as the confirmation of making the correct decision by turning to professional hockey, or a dark reminder of a dream that never came true.
  11. Oh man Devise is such a smark I never would've guessed! Just enjoy the show, FELLA! Naw I feel you though, but never threaten to stop watching man it's wrestling. It's always changing. 13. Seth Rollins Headed to VHLM By Dean Ambrose Seth Rollins is the newest hot shot prospect about to invade the VHLM. Rollins brings to the table already a decent ability to put the puck in the net, but it of course needs a lot of work. Rollins will see significant ice time during his VHLM tenure. As the season is just beginning, Rollins will have a full season under his belt to adjust to the VHL style of playing hockey. By just missing the VHLM draft, Rollins will now be subjected to the waiver system. Many experts are wondering why Rollins wouldn’t just declare for the draft if he had intentions of joining the league anyway. According to most reports, Rollins has his agent Johnny Blaze to blame. Blaze was lazy about filing his player’s papers to the league office, which resulted in the delay. While this might not seem like a big deal, it may eventually be a problem for Rollins down the line if he ever wants to move on from Blaze in his corner. Blaze is famously known as the agent of recently retired Damien Sandow. Blaze and Sandow were together as a cohesive unit at the beginning of Sandow’s career, but Blaze unceremoniously decided to cut ties with the player and never return to the VHL; until now. Rollins is prepared for a successful professional hockey career in the VHL. Blaze’s strange history aside, Rollins projects to be a good prospect for a VHL team. Seth is a natural skater, and while it’ll take time for him to get acclimated to the speed of the VHLM game, it’d be a mistake to sleep on Rollins as a potential VHLM franchise player for the short period of time he’ll be in the developmental league. Seth is a lifelong hockey player who comes from a long history of the game with his father, uncles, and grandfather having prominent roles in professional hockey around the world. In a statement after his agent officially announced his VHLM eligibility, Rollins had this to say: “I’m excited to get out there on the ice. There’s a tingly feeling inside of my body, it’s outrageous. I’ve been playing this game my entire life, but there’s still butterflies. When I signed my letter of intent to the VHLM offices, I was a nervous wreck. I have a lot to prove to myself and my friends. They’re going to support me no matter what, but I’ve been around hockey my entire life. My family lives through this game. I’m excited to carry on the Rollins hockey legacy. It’s a responsibility I’m embracing. The team that I end up on will get a dedicated player who is looking to leave a mark in this league.” Rollins sounds as confident as any other top prospect, and only time will tell if his words carry any weight. Seth is going to have to put in a lot of work to get to the level of family members before him, but he also has a chance to make his own legacy. Seth could end up being the face of a VHL franchise someday, and that’s something he would relish in.
  14. Can I still earn points for my new guy ?
