Q2 - My wife keeps asking me for Christmas ideas and I'm thinking about asking for Dark Souls 3 - Is that a stupid idea for someone who is unable to beat Bloodborne out of frustration? I've heard that DS3's difficulty is a little overplayed. Give it a try! Q3 - What's your favorite NHL team and what's your projection for them this season? New Jersey Devils - To be honest, I haven't followed very closely in recent years, but I have heard they are on the rise so maybe a playoff birth? 1. 1. Forget being screwed over--has STHS ever done something that it shouldn't in your favor? STHS has never done a thing for anyone. lol 2. Which country's food do you think is the best and why? I love the food everywhere I've been, but I have to give the nod to France for consistently great eats. I think it's because they care so dang much about food and make it a higher priority. 3. It's the trade deadline, and the S87 players are on the way! What do you think the league could use from its newest draft class? Lots of goals. Everyone loves scoring. 1. 1. Has your player reached your expectations so far in S85? Absolutely. Leading the team in goals the last I looked and generally being the offensive force he is intended to be. 2. Are you molding your player after anyone? If so who? If not, what unique build are you going for? Really just following my GM's advice. 3. Do you prefer to visit places that are hot, or cold? Why is this your preference? Neither really. I've gotten old enough that I prefer a fairly mild version of both. 1. What is your favorite meat? Beef, pork, lamb, ....? 2. 1 - It's finally Friday! Whatcha doing this weekend? Preaching at two funerals and then on Sunday for a third (really 4th - Thursday) day in a row. 2 - How's the season going for you? Not bad. We are 20-10 and pushing toward a playoff spot. 3 - What's for dinner tonight? My in-laws are coming out and I think we're doing takeout but I honestly have no idea. Not sure. My wife promised something special after a tough week, but I don't know what that is. I do know it will be fantastic! 1. Would you prefer to take your next vacation in Europe or the USA? Why? 2. 1. Early Continental Cup favorite? Has to be the Calgary Wranglers. Sending Luc Tessier off into retirement with some hardware. 2. What are you doing to keep busy right now? Work keeps me as busy as I'd like to be. 3. Best thing to buy available only in autumn? Pumpkin flavored latte. Actually only thing I could think of as only available in the autumn. lol 1. 1. We're about to get going with the start of all the leagues. Give me your predictions for winners in the VHLM, VHLE, VHL Marlins, Have never paid attention to that league, lol, Wranglers 2. Who is going to have a breakout season this time round in the VHL? Not sure it will be a "breakout", but in his last season, Luc Tessier is going to surprise! 3. Summer is officially over. What do you want to do next time round that you didn't do this year. Watch the sunset on the southern coast of Brittany, France. 1. If you were a dog, what breed would you be an why? 2. Have you ever won a championship in a league other than the VHL? Or the VHL? 3. Who has the best chance of winning the scoring title this coming season?

1. Which player is primed for an MVP season? I have to answer generally as I don't follow the league closely, but I feel a big break out by a Calgary Wrangler this season. We came up short when we thought we were going to go deeper and someone is going to rise to that occasion and answer. 2. Of the many roster changes, which players do you think are going to thrive the most in their new environments? Again, tough for me to answer. 3. What is the most radical change to the VHL you think they should experiment with? I'm not sure "radical" changes are the right thing to "experiment" with. People are pretty happy with the league overall and it's taken a long time to come to a place where things are balanced as they are. But shouldn't stay the same forever either. I'd advocate incremental change and monitor how it's going and adjust quickly if it looks like we've broken something with the change. 1. What are you most looking forward to with the coming season start? 2. How did you first find out about the league? 3. Are you in any of the "money" leagues (PBE, SHL, etc.) or do you stick only to VHL, SBA, EFL?

1. If you had to rebrand one VHL teams brand but keep the city the same (VHLE and VHLM included), which team would you choose and what would you rebrand it as? DC as the Senators. I'm going to have my Washington Senators back even if I have to go to a fake hockey league to get it. lol 2. If the VHL had to have one gimmick that set it apart from every other hockey league in the world, what would you like that gimmick to be? Let's have a giant hat drop from the ceiling of every rink when a player scores his third goal. lol 3. European ice hockey rinks and North American rinks are different sizes. The VHL has teams in both continents. What do you think the situation for rinks are? Are all VHL games played on EU sized rinks, NA sized rinks, or is it like baseball where it's a mix from arena to arena? Never thought of that. Good question. I see it as a mix like in baseball. Interesting ramifications for home ice advantage. 1. Spend a day with any pro hockey player. Who and why? (Doesn't have to be an NHL pro hockey player.) 2. Ever name a pet after a hockey player or other sports figure? 3. Max length of career in the VHL - too long, too short, or just right?

Luc Tessier looks at his locker one last time before leaving for the offseason having been knocked out of the playoffs in a sweep by the DC Dragons 4-0. Not the way Luc wanted it to go obviously. Mostly because no player wants to get eliminated and no player, for sure, wants to be swept. But for Luc there is an added weight. His performance in the playoffs showed him he was maybe slowing down. Where had the jump gone? Where was the snap of the puck off the blade? Every player has to face this moment. The moment when it’s clear that it is time to hang up the skates and “pursue other opportunities”. This feels like Luc’s moment. As much as he would like to play into his 50’s, he knows that isn’t possible. But he can’t go out like this! Surely there is one more good year left in his legs. Surely the magic can be found again with his wrister. Luc Tessier leaves dejected in the loss, but determined as well. “Old Father Time can have me,” he thinks, “but not before one last glorious year. Not before one last season at the top of my game ending with a Cup for my teammates and the fans in Calgary.” 213 words

Q1) What are you thoughts on skipping the vhlm or vhle? Pretty hard to skip both (lol), but I'm for getting to the big show as quickly as possible if there is a spot for me on the team. Definitely would look to skip the E. Q2) Who should become the new NYA GM Anyone but me. lol Q3) You get to mute a member for a week who is it? Or you can give 5 members 10 TPE not on your team who do you pick I'd mute myself. I don't talk that much anyway and I'd hate to cut anyone else out. 1. Ever done a dog DNA test on your pooch? (Never thought I'd do something so silly based on cost, but needed any insight on behavior issues we could get.) 2. How good is Lake Hughes going to be for New Jersey and how long will he play as a Devil? 3. Most thrilling moment in hockey fandom?

Q1. If you had to rename a trophy from the VHL what would it be and why? Going to pass on this one. I'm a huge traditionalist on these kinds of things and see no reason to change. Q2. Do you enjoy press conferences or do you think they are a bit of a waste of time? Enjoy? Sometimes. Never a waste of time - 2 TPE! Q3. How could the VHL make the draft a bit more interesting each season? Actually think the presentation is pretty good. 1. Do you have a favorite president - of the U.S. or anywhere else? Why? 2. What is the hardest part of hockey? 3. Will the Devils make the playoffs by 2025?

1. First thought on the avs winning the cup? Not a big fan of the Avs from the Devils' time playing them back in the early 2000s. 2. What is your favorite restaurant? Le Flaveur in Concarneau, France. 3. If you could choose one player in the NHL to punch in the face, Do you hit Marchand from the right or the left? Can I go back in time and punch Tai Domi? 1. 1. Which team has the most improved during the off season? I'm afraid I never follow the drafts or off-season moves. 2. Which team won the draft in your opinion? Again, don't really follow the draft. My thing is to keep improving my player and occasionally check in to see if we have a playoff chance. 3. What is your favorite part of the VHL? Seeing my player and my team build toward greatness. 1. 1. World Juniors start this week are you watching and who wins? Why? Not watching and have no idea who is in it. 2. VHL draft goes this Friday, who goes number one overall? Why? I never pay any attention to the draft unless I am in it. 3. VHLE draft is later sometime this off season; Do anyone actually talk about this draft and who goes number one overall? Again, I pay no attention - I do think people generally talk about who goes 1OA as I remember when I was in the draft people did. 1. What is your favorite breed of dog and why? 2. 1. What is your favorite season of the year and why? (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter) Fall - where I live on Long Island, October is the most beautiful month of the year: weather, quieter, perfect. 2. Between the remaining teams in the NHL playoffs, who do you want to win? And who do you think will win? My money is on Tampa Bay, but I'd like to see Edmonton take it all. 3.
