I'm pretty sure I'm starting to re-use these; there are only so many

It was definitely a bit better when I put the side panel back on (since it has a dark tint) but it still didn’t look nearly as good as I had hoped. But yes, I expect people to start requests on colour changes shortly. Maybe this swap from red to teal will make Papa not suck, that would be nice.

So I put the new fans in…. Strictly speaking purple won and I was super excited about it actually but sadly the purple looks, how can I put this, horrible. It’s like a slightly purple tinged white and just looks really bad. Orange is similar, it looks like a weird middle ground between white and yellow more than orange. anyway, long story short I went with the second place choice because that seems the most fair so therefore Sim Box is now Teal. I might change it up on occasion now that they are all in and also might move the front fans to be between the front mesh and the case (I think that’s for a rad strictly speaking) because they’d be more visible but for now it looks nice…. We’ll aside from having more light means I can see how ugly some of my cables are. A task for another day.

I should be more clear: the way it’s taught is bullshit. Kids are taught that the opposite side of the wheel are either complimentary colours or opposites. Those can’t both be true and generally neither is true. They certainly don’t compliment each other but if you take blue out of an image the image becomes more yellow, not more orange, so they can’t be opposites either. In general the colour wheel is just a good way of showcasing the warm / cool sides of the spectrum and how you get between them. Colours on opposite ends of the wheel don’t necessarily represent anything in relation to each other.

Colour correcting film disagrees, take out blue and you end up with more yellow, photoshop curves will do the same thing. In general the colour wheel is dumb and shouldn’t be taught.

AJ for blue in 2031 then? But yes, a punishment is only as bad as people make it. I received the longest TPE ban in league history and still came back; the key is sticking around long enough that the majority of people don’t know about it. Just don’t let a punishment define you.

100% it cannot be both. I just meant that on the whole more shots = better S% but lower GAA does tend to happen. It’s certainly not a guarantee but it is a trend similar to a team facing more shots as their D men get more SB. It’s just kinda how the engine is designed. But yeah, we can’t discount 1 goalie for facing too many shots and another for facing too few, one of the other has the be valid.

This is true in theory but you do also have to remember that if you DON’T get a shutout having low shots is gonna hurt more. For example, if you only face 10 shots in a game and let 1 in you have a .900; that’s not super uncommon. However if you face 100 shots (unrealistically high but makes the math easy) you’d have to let 10 goals in for the same S%; that is rather uncommon. In general with STHS facing higher shot totals will definitely hurt your GAA but it can actually be beneficial to your S% because on average you’re gonna let in between 1 and 5 goals anyway (generally speaking) so it’s better to do so having faced more shots.

I love how you started this with “ditto” and then wrote the longest one haha. Like the Montreal Canadiens if you spend a day as a blue you’re a blue for life, it’s been fun having you on board and it sucks to see you go but ultimately I get it, you have to do what’s best for you and I can’t begrudge you that. Not everyone is as stubborn as me to stick around forever. Of course it’s really starting to look like I’m abusing my fellow blues, I seem to go through them quickly.

Also of note as per usual: the game winners can pick a different game of equal or lesser value if they don’t want NHL 22 (we’ll be in touch with details) and people are always allowed to claim a lower tier than why they won. So if you won a game (tier 3) but just want a triples week (tier 2) that’s totally fine.

And you wanted us to delete your account @Tate, smh. Also Indefinitely feel like @Spartan won the game last year (or maybe it was the birthday one?) as well which is hilarious to me.

Would need to buy all new fans for hot pink and I have no interest in that haha. Mind you I do find it can work in some builds, white builds especially can look really good with pink.

Tbh the rest of the room isn’t done yet and none of the colours would look really bad currently so I’m not too worried. Once we have the rest finished I’ll cycle through and see which one fits best.
