Shall we, perhaps, entertain the idea of some sims?

But you still would. As I said, trivia is capped, PF is uncapped. So increasing PF doesn't make you hit the cap which means you'd still be waiting. Revamping Trivia: I have no qualms with the idea. Revamping Trivia by increasing PF: I'm pretty sure @STZ was joking and it makes no sense.

But it already exists and it's already uncapped. This isn't about a new "gimme more more more" button it's just about increasing the one that already exists for literally no reason or benefit.

I fail to see how the two are related since trivia is capped and PF is uncapped. If the argument is that trivia should be replaced because it’s just Handing people free TPE for doing nothing then how is handing then more free TPE for clicking a button any better?

Even if we talk there’s not much we can do, we’re working within the limitations of IPB. I do find it’s pretty solid though if you give it the right criteria. For example going to announcements and searching for “trivia” in “this forum only” brings the hidden topic up pretty quickly.

Almost a full week of dealing with me, aren't you all so lucky

Alright everybody, time for some sims!

I’d argue that’s an exaggeration. People assume it’s harder than it is and don’t bother trying since someone will be around with the answer soon. There’s the odd question here and there that’s tough but otherwise there’s only a few select places where the answers exist so they aren’t hard to find. 9/10 times you don’t need to leave the HoF forum.

I don't recall if it was hidden or not (and don't really care to look) but if I had to wager a guess on why we would hide it then it wouldn't have anything to do with a "controversy" or anything but rather just making things clear. If we leave something around that says "hey, this is a rule now" and then goes on for a page or two or 5 (or whatever it was) before saying "nope, never mind" it's just confusing to new people trying to understand the rules. Therefore it gets hidden just to keep things straight and orderly. We're not always trying to hide controversy, sometimes we're just trying to hide things that aren't relevant and can add confusion. I'm not actually sure when that was hidden but I know conversation went on for a bit after the decision was reversed so we definitely weren't trying to hide anything.
