INDEX @VHL GM You all know the drill by now, GM's are no longer required to email in their lines to submit them. To send in your lines please use the Team Management section of the portal. The process for downloading the client file and using STHS to make your lines is still the same, and if you have manual requests due to waiver pick ups or other roster changes please PM me your notes. Either discord or forum PM is fine. I have made sure your lines can all be made for this first set (IE no bots missing to make rosters incomplete) but please look over your rosters carefully to make sure everyone is present that should be and no one is present that shouldn't be. This is especially important with the VHLE starting up to make certain the portal didn't place anyone on a roster they shouldn't be on. If you see any issues please notify me ASAP so it can be corrected for tomorrow's sim. As has been the case for a few seasons now all sims will be done live. I cannot promise you a specific time for these (though around 11:30am EST or 6pm EST is most likely) and, likelywise, I can't promise you they will be very entertaining; in fact I can almost guarantee that they won't be. However in an effort to be more transparent with our simming you will all be able to watch me click buttons in all it's glory. I will do my best to put a message in here and on discord whenever I go live but may forget some days. In the case of discord if you wish to be notified please make sure to check out the #roles channel for information on how. @Updater please note that @16z has decided to un-retire and has accepted the penalty of that, a 1 week update ban. This ban will be enforced next week, September 27 to October 3rd. 16z please note that this update ban is for all forms of claiming TPE. Any TPE you claim will be denied and any attempt to bypass this by claiming directly from the portal (welfare / practice facility) will result in punishment.

Those two things don't really work together. If you unretire here is a penalty to be paid, specifically: In addition if you unretire you can't make a new player because you'll have a player. If you are willing to accept the penalty I suppose you could unretire, apply your points, and then re-retire. Is that what you want?

Just so we’re clear because it’s a bit different: did you want to unretire or did you just want to play out the season still but remain retired?

A bit of a housekeeping note: since changing GM’s at the end of the off-season is far messier than at the beginning (but necessary given the circumstances) @Nykonax has agreed to act as interim GM for this season. Near the end of the season the position will be opened up to either him or the general population for a permanent position but for now he should be regarded as the GM of the team with all the permissions that entails.

It has come to my attention that the “Open Free Agency” page was running off the old rules (forum posts in the last 30 days) for activity rather than the new rules, updates in the last 30 days. I apologize for the confusion and ask the VHL GM’s to bring forth any members that should be labelled as active but were labelled as inactive, I will correct them as they around found. This player has been correctly changed over to active and can be treated as such.

Wouldn’t that be a bit of a nightmare for updaters? Can you even link to statuses? I just don’t see how it’s different enough vs. Just writing a 590 in character (as people used to) instead of the usual “I’m going to ramble for 150 words.” Getting it to the forum means you have more interest from me than you have before mind you.

Second place and the manager point puts me to first place TPE, won’t see me complain about that.

I know we planned on making some changes to it so it might be that we skip it for a season while we figure stuff out? We would have needed to start the drafts by now I think.

Tbh our normal donation system is just fine. Our overhead costs aren’t that high so donations provide us plenty to work with. The league does obviously need cash flow to stay afloat but nothing substance enough that we would need a P2P model.

It’s not supposed to be easy for anyone, just possible.
