After thinking on what my next post should be and now seeing the game stats from today and seeing the season starting to wind down abit I thought this would be a great little article piece to write about and to also get my tpe lol The SDM club has showed me a lot in my time here. As I still (yes) consider my self new and I have to say I owe a lot to the mangers here and both I consider mangers I don’t see a assistant as there great together and I have no doubts In my mind that @IamMOOSE will be a great successful manger sometime soon in the future. Moose has really stepped up. He definitely has provided all the tools for any player on this roster to be a good player but his tips and knowledge has really shown for the active players and mine included. So Moose I wish you nothing but the best other then hopefully I’ll be on your team and maybe even work along side with you one day. Now onto of my favourite guys in the community is @iRockstar. Man I Couldent say anything bad about you. Your a great person and even better GM and it’s been fun playing for your team and getting to know you. Your a great GM and I hope you realize this team appreciates you and Moose for everything you both do. SDM has its up and downs in the season. Seeing how when I first joined there wasn’t a lot of guys on the roster and the talent wasn’t the best. I’m glad not only my player (Cowboy Prout) but seeing a person like @GreenGato really step up recently and his numbers prove he’ll have a great career in the VHL. He’s a great teammate may I add. Vick has shown to be a promising solid player racking the points totals lately and it’ll be fun to watch what he does next season. He’s developing into a star player. The defence core core has really developed since having some inactives leave but since gaining a lot of newer faces. I’m excited to see the future of this team weather I’m apart of not it’ll be fun to watch and they’ll win a chip soon in this direction @iRockstarhas put into place. The defence core will be something that’ll need work as for next season but without a doubt the recruitment will bring in some more solid players and so will the draft. In net we also have new pick up @Hasek_77 . Hasek so far has looked to a good pickup. If he stays active and gets his tpe every week he can be something to watch in the future. I think he’ll at least need one more full year in minors before he actually goes VHL but he’s been a late season pickup so I’m definitely not to concerned there. Thank you to all the players this year for a fun season and the great mangers for this experience and opportunity. And all the other help this team has. I definitely would like to return but when draft comes it’ll be whatever team selects Cowboy Prout. This was was my first sim experience and I’ve not only learned a lot about this community but I’ve learned more about how it works and what to watch and how being active can really effect outcomes. I wanted to say thank you to the awesome community as always and to lookout on the Marlins moving forward.

1) it’s hockey so anything can happen especially in this crazy sim. I don’t know who I’d say is a favourite 2) honestly I’m pretty happy no mater where I go. I wouldent play on the same team as Sid so as to my knowledge not to be drafted by - Warsaw. Save myself from any issues 3) definitely some more skating. Puck handling and passing would be next for me to really work on 4) I think I’d say the same answer as 2. 5) leadership and loyalty I just like having fun. 6) joining the team and having a good locker room experience @IamMOOSE and @iRockstar have been amazing and Moose would make a great GM sometime soon. I couldn’t thank the two of them enough for the help and support. They have built something special in SDM and I’ll always remember it.

10+ Cowboy Prout

Yeah I get that unfortunately about discord however the podcast and such I meant as more advertising and league updates and gain attractions for new people I’ve seen that but I was thinking cause there’s such a big podcast word it wouldn't hurt to venture and advertise through them. I see what both you mean and I appreciate the positive responses !

As thanksgiving makes us all gain a little pounds the SDM are currently on a cold streak and hoping it’ll slow down all the other teams! As its been a rollercoaster year the SDM have some great up and coming talent if they can continue to keep this up. The new guys seem to be developing ok and have to keep at to be a contender next year and hopefully with a bit of luck the leagues roster limit gone up hopefully will be a help to the struggling team. I know myself haven’t been impressed with my performance as of late and overall and always continue to be the best I can be and learn from every mistake I’ve made. I really like how this team never stops learning and growing and that has made my sim experience more fun and enjoyable. Having a great team and learning everything made this easier just need to start improving for the club as this loosing streak needs to stop soon and even though I ate a lot of turkey aha I still need to be a quick learner and not slow down. im still personally excited for this team they’ve got a great future and still the best in a non biased way have the best management between @iRockstar and @Moose thank you both for your help and generosity of helping and developing a lot of new players and continuing to be quick to help and lend a hand if needed you both are amazing and have shown me the ropes and have given myself everything needed to move forward in the sim experience with a loosing streak still current we will get rid of it soon and hopefully get you both much deserved and long waited wins for the club.

This topic I chose came to my mind when I started to get active on here and if anyone don’t know who I am I’ll introduce myself. Firsts I’m still new joined the SDM and became interested into the sim league as I’ve heard about on YouTube and ironically the YouTuber on my team Thrash. Now that I’ve gave a quick introduction and now moving onto this topic is being new was a big learning curve and still is. I found great help and cheers to everyone that’s helped me. But I feel for new people is there a way to improve the direction of the league as seeing more lines on a team opening up roster spots would that mean expansion? More league jobs? Different threads on how to and more experienced players explaining maybe there own experiences and what helped them get to where they are ? Maybe how to threads even? the league has a wonderful community and I think a couple new threads that’ll help players even more on things like TPE and what it all does how to claim them and so on. Now I know asking help does get you where you need but wouldn’t it be even better that a new person will have even more knowledge and better understanding on things if they got more? expanding the league is great and hopefully it’ll continue cause of the great work this community has done it’s paid off and I hope it grows in minors and the “pros” id like to see more game day engagement and maybe a game of the week for the VHLM? Get some newer people engaged enough to keep wanting more and to get there friends involved? ill admit that some little things can actually benefit not just new people but.even experienced players that’ll want to have it more active in both leagues and “more things to do” it’ll be interesting what’s going on in the background and what projects they work on and I hope maybe what I’ve posted here could help or bring a awareness that’ll get some new direction on how to boost the activeness here and how we can still do more little things to improve the overall experience itself. What if there was a league podcast people can do for jobs or even for fun to get more people to join? More weekly polls on different things going on between teams and the league itself? Would anyone like seeing that? Maybe even add a graphics contest for those who can make those ? More self rewarding and different areas for the experience can be fun and new ? I’ve come across these ideas by just thinking of new things I’d like to see cause some things do repeat after repeat so what if we can change that and make things feel new again? I know it’s sounds silly and I’d be willing myself to work on small things behind the scenes just to gain attraction and have new and fun ways of keeping a mix of tenured players and brand new people all engaged and having that could even make more fun for all. Today’s article for myself is a odd one as I do like the SDM for many reasons and I’ve learned so much through this and can’t say anything bad about the club as I first entered the league not understanding ANYTHING about sims and trust me when I say that. I’m grateful to of found this league and seeing a active and great community makes the league more fun and tough. Now let’s get away from that as title says let’s look at the SDM of the VHLM. so I’ve gotten more invested into this and the more I read things and such it made me want to express so of my experiences and what I see for the next season SDM has had a rough season getting a bunch of guys that were new some stayed some inactive and gone now. But. As of now it seems we do have some decent prospects and newbies like myself that have really taken interest and like to keep improving. Now. With all that being said will they make the playoffs next year? Seeing the way things look not it will be tight especially depending on who they draft and how many actually stay active will always be a big question especially in the minors. With no stats showing at what stage in careers people leave there sim life it’ll be a interesting team. I wish we could see the future of not only this team but the players as they’ve made a difference as hockey is not a one man game. the future is looking bright for both sides. my experience now is they have gotten better already and improve each game. They’ve been lucky enough to have great support by management which is a huge thing to consider especially for minor leagues keeping new guys is essential. I personally on my biased opinion want to see the team make the playoffs next year and have a run regardless if drafted or not. Now I must say I’ll be making sure they loose if not returning next year ? all jokes aside I think it’s going to be the one of the few teams we all should watch next season after the draft I think it could be a big turnaround and potentially have a good run in playoffs (if they make it) i dident want to jump to far into the future however this article was to express not only how I felt but what I’ve seen first hand and maybe this will show people how much different and a direction this club really is. It’s definitely not the same team we’ve seen all year it’s alot better and hopefully a sign of more positive to come with much closer games recently except one ? this team has really rallied together and got to work. as always feel free to comment below if you have thoughts/ opinions or bored and just want to talk to the terrible writer ?? Today’s little article is about how Cowboy Prout is a underrated machine here at the SDM and will be a future leader and beat the one and only Danny Heatley the 50n07 the legend himself. We have a great team at SDM that’s gotten his development up and being 6 points in 6 games as a rookie first year defender. Cowboy Prout is surely stepping his game up as the end of the season is approaching there’s one question.. who will draft him? What team will he lead next? Who’s will stop him? We will find all those next season. He’s stepped into a great role at SDM playing big minutes and is showing some real promise. He’s not talked about much due to being new and one has to think who will he be playing for next? For now we will keep track on how he he progresses through the rest of the year on a developing team and where he’s drafted next. He’s done a great job so far and has great support it’ll be a matter of time folks he gets talked about and not just about his crazy off ice partying antics but for his great plays and leadership he’ll bring in at the young age. He has already said his game and playing style would never of happened if weren’t for the great management he has down in SDM. Cowboy Prouts most recent interview his quote “yeah I’ve been extremely lucky joking a great development team that’s a bunch of hard working guys and gets better every game. The management has been truly amazing and it’s great seeing SDM get better every game but it would never of happened if it weren’t for the management and night clubs we have” there you have it everyone his line his words now we wait for DRAFT DAY.

Reason for this title is that I’ve been lucky enough to of learned a lot quick I feel due to all the help and support that’s been giving to me by not only by my team the SDM in the VHLM but even by other mangers in the league were also open to helping and etc. over the past couple days that I’ve been on I’m really enjoying this experience as this is my first sim league and it’s been awesome. And the community itself is nothing short of absolutely amazing and I can’t thank everyone enough that’s contributing to keep this league running and they definitely in my opinion don’t get enough credit. i was lucky enough to actually find this through Thrash gamings YouTube channel which I think was a great marketing way of recruiting. Now I’ve not looked around much but I think this community has some good numbers on active players and I think there should be away to keep active players even more invested. Invite friends and keep this growing and social media which will always be a huge way of growing and keeping this alive especially with how great of a community this is it'll be better if we all can chip in and promote this id like to see some people’s thoughts on what could be next on how we can all help grow this and keep it going? There’s a lot to do for a sim league like this and meeting great people along the way. I’m not sure why I thought that this should be a article but it’s came to my mind and I guess I’m willing to give back on this lol. Personally some things I wish to improve is keeping track of the minors and majors a little easier for players even though the site is great some little tweaks on players and teams around what league your in would be great in my opinion maybe a little more competitiveness in a good way considering that I’ve not really spoken to much of the other guys you play against I’d like a little more friendly rivalry and some kind of way to see it be fun and enjoyable but yet makes it even better when you make the playoffs and try to out compete somebody your facing I will say when new it’s great to see all the help and sub forums as it’s been extremely easy to learn just would like to see those kind of things maybe pushed more about and see what anyone else thinks that would improve our experiences and make it fun for all. And I don’t want this to sound like I’m complaining lol I’ve had a good experience and nothing negative to say I just like more engagement by us as a community and still be relaxed and I don’t know if I’m missing something or if others feel the same or had other suggestions I think it’d be cool to listen and maybe implement some new things together. 1) I’d say the help you get and all the support from your own club to others mangers. I’ve gotten a great relationship I’d say with my own club and mangers that definitely make things more smooth starting out 2) definitely have to say a good quarterback defender that’s reliable in any situation and that’s going to be tough to play against and physical. 3) definitely being able to overcome any situation. Being in a great locker room like myself definitely being able to talk to each other and have fun but also work when needed 4) well.... have to go with the team I play for and represent ? 5) well I’m from the great white north so cheese curds are a most. Thats the secret to a good poutine 6) I like the online sim stuff so being in my first league and experiencing the VHL has been a favourite the NHL franchise since I was a kid.

Yes this is my first article and I’m here to say I’m impressed on my growth and getting ready to be a solid defensemen and face the toughest matchups whenever I’m on the ice. I’ve been grind for more tpe and making my build a solid and reliable player and have expectations of being a solid defensemen now and even more in the future. I have a great opportunity to gain minutes and develop the best to my abilities with great support so far and have nothing but good things from the team I’m on and the community itself. Very excited for this journey I know it’ll be a long fun process that’ll be enjoyable. I hope to have a good start to my VHL career but for now I’m in the minors and will work my way hope and hope to show what I’m making myself to be made of. I’m ready to take on any challenges but I’m very pleased to see how welcoming and fun this truly has been and hope I’ll be a leader not just on the ice and off but as well in the community and remembering that welcoming help I’ve gotten so far and to be able to do the same for others when they start out.
