Raised by penguins on the South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. Blim Blam became accustomed to the cold climate at a young age. Blim Blam was named after his two great uncles, Blim and Blam McFluble, to honour their legacy as the greatest fishermen to ever live. Blim Blam was determined to become something greater than a fisherman, he wanted to become something different from what he is expected to become.
With an idea of what he wants to become, Blim Blam travels, with what little amount he has accumulated, to Canada where he hopes to get into the maple syrup industry. However, this became a much more difficult task than Blim Blam expected. He searched for weeks, and applied to many places, but, his lack of experience in the industry became the key reason he couldn’t get a position. Blim Blam soon gave up on his short dream to become something different.
BUT WAIT, while Blim Blam was at the airport trying to book a flight back to South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, he ran into a tall young stud who randomly asked Blim Blam if he wanted to stay in Canada. It was as if this man was reading his mind. Blim Blam introduced himself and answered the question (yes). The Man introduced himself as Notta, he was born and raised in North Bay, Ontario. Notta offered Blim Blam a place to stay until he got on his feet.
Over the course of many months Notta and Blim Blam mostly hung out, playing video games, exploring the wilderness, ect. However, this did not satisfy Blim Blam, he wants to become something. And so he began to search again, he knew Notta had become a bad influence. Blim Blam then came across a flyer for a hockey game lying on the ground, the game was going on just down the street at a local community centre. This is where Blim Blam realized what he was going to do as a career. Blim Blam had become obsessed with hockey, without telling Notta, he stole a few hundred dollars to go buy some equipment so he could join a local league. Blim Blam quickly became proficient at handling the hockey puck, however, he was not much of a goal scorer in the local league. Blim Blam’s actions upset Notta, stealing upset Notta a lot, and he kicked Blim Blam out. With nowhere to go Blim Blam was once again living on the streets, however his abilities in the local league impressed some VHLM scouts that had shown up to scout for potential in next year’s draft, but Blim Blam wasn’t getting any younger, he was already 21 which is much older than most at this stage. Blim Blam’s passing skills impressed some scouts, and some even offered to sign him on their VHLM team. However, the scout from the Houston Bulls was the most laid back and straight forward, which ultimately drove Blim Blam into choosing them and becoming a Bull, mid way through the season. Additionally, news spread to Notta that Blim Blam had become a part of the VHLM, and Notta couldn’t have been more upset, and so Notta worked hard to become a rival of Blim Blam, by joining a rival team. But this news didn’t scare Blim Blam, as all he wanted was to make a life for himself that wasn’t fishing. Blim Blam hopes his childhood experience on the South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands will help lead him to the pros, because he knows hockey is his passion.
