I said I really need that trading record!
  2. I'd say WAR should go for best C as this position needs more time to develop into a decent player. But we'll see
  3. I definitely approve @dstevensonjr's point of view. However, I'm curious to see how it will affect the league and how GMs will cope with adjustments. On the other hand, as soon as s100 prospects become eligible we will have to edit cap again. So, how long will we manage around 40m? S99-101, mainly. Then, we will have to adjust the cap again. Seems like a belated change, or just action for the sake of action.
  4. Should've been dlamb Nevertheless, good luck @v.2.

Is there a way to check this? Cause this must be true lmfao
  8. Good luck @dustywilson22! I'll be super excited to see your player in DC jersey as well

You are not ready for Helsinki reborn, VHL.
  10. True state, but I guess it was mainly because I've split time with top prospect and that would be a shame on GM to bench guys like Doom. 8 games is not enough for 8th overall VHL pick
  11. Still looking for more AGM candidates
  12. S97 is almost over. Unfortunately, my VHLM path ended without any individual or team trophies. My story started with Halifax 21st and it was truly one of the best experiences I've had, and then Trunov became 33rd overall pick of S96 VHLM Draft. I have no intension to discuss why he fell off so dramatically in spite of nice pre-draft interviews where I showed my interest to stay and play in VHLM for a season. But as we know, I spent one more full season being one of the best goalies. It is time to close the door and say that I am finally leaving the M, however I am doing that without relief as I feel I really enjoyed everything more than ever. Today, I'll compare Trunov's VHLM regular season stats with the other group of legendary VHLM goaltenders who put their names in the history of this league. how? With 2 full seasons and a few games after recreating Trunov has impressive stats: 118 GP - 62-40-15 (0.65%) - 0.920 SV% - 1.94 GAA - 15 SO - 231 GA - 2905 SA (25 ppg) Just to make it clear, I only look at regular season career stats. But individual or team awards could be in comparison. More than that, I'd only examine goalies with 100+ games played. And as I don't want to waste my and your time, you won't find here goalies (100+ GP) with much more worse stats as it's pretty obvious that Trunov has an advantage. All information I found there: Career Stats. Let's start. Amir Redzic 159 GP 85 W 56 L 16 OTL 0.913 SV% 2.67 GAA 9 SO 420 GA 4838 SA My first opponent is active user from Prague Phantoms. Amir had an amazing career, especially with the fact that it's first gen player. However, with less games played Trunov has more shutouts and has an advantage in GAA metric. Additionally, Vladimir came off the ice with at least one point a bit more 0.65 vs 0.63. However, it would be fair to say that Amir had to cope with more shots against every game - 30 per game. With that being said, my verdict is: Trunov slightly better. Herald Benson 101 GP 60 W 31 L 5 OTL 0.915 SV% 2.41 GAA 7 SO 237 GA 2799 SA Unexpected guest of my article and part of my locker room @Benson had truly an amazing run and won Benoit Devereux Trophy for being the best goalie in S93. Pretty equal career stats except shutouts, there is a double advantage for Trunov that made him a winner in that battle. Verdict: Trunov slightly better. Oliver Gauthier 144 GP 87 W 46 L 10 OTL 0.91 SV% 2.44 GAA 11 SO 351 GA 3882 SA At this point, Oliver is the toughest goalie I could face with. He had an amazing S88 winning both "best goalie" and "regular season" awards. He is the type of guard every team would love to have in the net. Talking about career stats, on the distance Gauthier has some advantages and disadvantages: he had faced more shots and brought a bit more points for his team: 0.67 vs Trunov's 0.65. Oliver had 27 SA per game, so basically almost the same result as Trunov, and 26 more games played, however Trunov has more shutouts, better GAA and SV% metrics. Verdict: Trunov better. Bartholomew Lorequavis 163 GP 81 W 65 L 12 OTL 0.911 SV% 2.32 GAA 15 SO 365 GA 4096 SA Another Prague Phantoms goaltender who spent 3.5 season in VHLM and showed great performance in SDM, HOU and MIS. Lorequavis has won Founder's Cup in S'96 and was drafted 17th overall. Statistically, he was pretty in the same terms: 25 SA per game. Nevertheless, Vladimir had better performance in further stats: SV%, GAA. However, with more games played we have the same amount of SO. Verdict: Trunov better. John Webber III 172 GP 123 W 39 L 9 OTL 0.913 SV% 1.88 GAA 23 SO 326 GA 3761 SA They guy who stole Benoit Devereux Trophy from Vladimir! John Webber is debatably one of the best VHLM goalies despite the fact that he has always had a great defence that allowed only 22 SA per game. Overall, facing more shots Trunov has better SV%, also it took 12.7 games to make a shutout - 13.4 games for Webber. Unfortunately, there is a huge gap between them as John brought 0.77 points from all games played, truly legendary result. Verdict: Trunov slightly worse. Chaz Michael Michaels 131 GP 75 W 44 L 11 OTL 0.916 SV% 2.01 GAA 17 SO 266 GA 3156 SA Likely, a future rival between Trunov and Chaz will be a thing as both of them are ready to step in VHL as best prospects of their franchises. Shortly, Chaz usually faced less shots - 24 per game. He is a bit worse in SV%, GAA but has a small lead in SO which is not a surprise considering he has 13 more games played. Both goaltenders came off the ice with a point around 0.65%. Verdict: Trunov slightly better. Deadpanda 135 GP 79 W 41 L 15 OTL 0.919 SV% 1.85 GAA 16 SO 253 GA 3113 SA Pretty much equal stats. In fact, Deadpanda has only 23 SA per game, he was as lucky as Trunov to have a strong defensive core in front of the net. I can't see anything that gives one of them an advantage. Verdict: Draw. Ricky LaFleur 142 GP 82 W 52 L 8 OTL 0.911 SV% 1.86 GAA 25 SO 267 GA 3016 SA Former Vladimir Trunov teammate from Halifax 21st. Surprisingly, LaFleur has 21 SA per game. Unbelievable stats, especially for minor leagues with active and offensive style of hockey. In comparison, Ricky has 10 more shutouts which is impressive. The league record is 28. I'd say it is a draw as Trunov had to cope with more shots and his SV% is better. Verdict: Draw. Draw Mac 196 GP 117 W 57 L 22 OTL 0.916 SV% 1.95 GAA 27 SO 387 GA 4600 SA Mac almost reached the 200 games played milestone becoming one of the most experienced goalies in the league. Coming to players comparison, the same verdict as the previous one. Mac had to face with less shots producting pretty much the same numbers as Trunov. Verdict: Draw. In conclusion, is that enough to say that Trunov had a great VHLM run and deserve some attention from the critics? @Grape Trunov leads the Lynx records for SV%, 3rd in GAA and SO. Potential Jersey retirement? 1000+
  13. DC Dragons S97 PC #6 Answer 6 to get 2 tpe 1. Congratulations with the end of the season! What do you feel now? Relief, happiness or excitement? 2. Brandon Petan Jr is the rookie points leader, YNFR took his well-deserved 2nd place. Did you predict this things to happen? 3. Toronto beat Calgary, do you think they are potentially shadow favourites of the playoffs? 4. Tom Dufour had a masterclass season and was nominated for Dustin Funk from DC as the most improved player. How would you describe the possibility of winning this award? 5. Tomorrow I will be 21. Say whatever you want me to hear from you. 6. Do you believe this offseason is the time when DC Dragons could be buyers depending on which young talent might be on the block? 7. Last time top rookie award went to the same team in two consecutive season was S90 and S91. Do you think we are able to repeat the success with our franchise prospect Albin Aldgard joining us next season?
  14. Hey everyone! I am looking for assistance and here is your chance to be a part of the greatest VHL franchise. I don't demand a lot but there are a few things I'd like to see in my new friend and AGM: Activeness in the Locker Room Good math skills If you can math bot goalie games correctly and sometimes remind me of that thing, you are the one I'm looking for! I'll take press conferences on me, however I don't say AGM will never have to post them. Depends on me and my busy life. No experience required. Good luck.

  17. DC Dragons S97 PC #6 Answer 6 to get 2 tpe 1. We passed the deadline. Do you admit that this was one of the least entertaining deadline for the last 10 seasons? 2. Give us some thoughts about DC picks and which prospects would you like to join our franchise? 3. Potentially, which roster position needs upgrade during the offseason? 4. Brandon Petan Jr and YNFR are the best rookies of the season. How would you describe their impact on the team? 5. Predict how many points team will have at the end of the regular season? 6. Talking about our rookies, is there any chance Petan Jr and YNFR will split the best rookie award? 7. Overall, are you happy with DCD performance so far?

Standings and Locker Room Half of the regular season was played, from now it's pretty clear who will lock the playoffs spot and who is going to chase the wild card one as well. DC Dragons are 7th in North American Conference, and we can't say we would not expect that. On the other hand, we started the regular season with some victorious games with bot in the net, outplaying reigning champions - Vancouver Wolves, and a few solid contenders: Seattle and Chicago. Anyway, our pace in on its predicted numbers. We started S97 season with full squad: 6 forwards, 4 dmen and a goalie. However, it didn't take long and I made some pretty huge trades including TOR 1st S98, TOR 1st S99, VAN 1st S99 and MAL 1st S99. The last trade had a lot of interest around the league, especially, among some experienced GMs, whatever they think I could only say: I do my best to bring the best value in a return. Dragons are my project, and I am into this club with all my heart. While some are heavily discussing how I broke the market with my asks, other guys are doing deals with me getting what they want and giving what I want. Overall, I am fine with the place we are at the standings and with moves I've done so far. Sometimes our game style is something amazing and even top teams can't cope with us. When I got hired, DC had 3 players in roster and two first round picks, original ones, obviously. With one full season and two VHL Entry Drafts after, we have nice prospect pool, it's kind of debatable thing, but I'd say we are one of the best teams when it comes to prospect quality and quantity and I will show you why below. With 3 first round picks: DC, TOR and MAL, I'd love to pick around 5th, 10th and 14th. Potentially, I am about to add one more first round pick from another contender, but it belongs to S99 so there is small chance it will be top-10. Who knows. UPDATE: It happened. Bana has finally realised that I could be just more than just his emotional trigger when it comes to market values, but also his trading partner. Theo Allard found his new contending franchise; I've got one more first round pick in my hands. W trade for every side. This season draft is definitely weak, but being in top-6 is a guaranteed top prospect. I am also excited to see a few promising сenters among this class, Gingy and Sidney Sheppard seem to be a missing part of my rebuilding franchise. I am desperately in need of one more high-end forward, preferably center. For sure, I'd take Cardinal Papia without a doubt if we were dead last place. Fortune could be on my side and lottery might give us 1st overall, anyway I am realistic and 5th oa is the pick we deserve to get. From now I'd love to focus on DC rookies outstanding performance, at the moment both Brandon Petan Jr and YNFR are in top-3 rookie points. Moreover, LaClapbomb Hitstick IV has sone significant impact on the ice which is also great and promising news for DCD. Impressive numbers for the guy who was drafted long time ago, in S94. After Konstantyn Shevchenko being traded, there was a question in the air: shall I announce captain or spend upcoming season with him? Finally, decision was made, I announced Petan Jr to be next on and off the ice leader. Sadie is active in the locker room, more than that she is the major reason why S96 draft was so successful for DC. Absolutely well-deserved C patch on jersey. S96 DC draft picks review As the guy who love to analyze a lot, it was a matter of time when I am able to share some thoughts about my first drafting experience. Today is the day. Spoiler: I did really good! Probably better than I could've imagined. Let's get started: 3rd overall - Brandon Petan Jr - 654 TPE (3rd in TPE among S96 draft class) - Captain, leading rookie points run. Massively helpful in every aspect of the team, she encourages our prospects be better every week. yes, @dylanjj37 I am looking at you! 22th overall - YOURE NOT FUCKING RETIRING - 568 TPE (7th) - Alternative captain, only one point behind of Sadie on rookies race. Twists was a mystery for me during S96 Entry draft. Looking at one of the most earning prospects being skipped and skipped and skipped.... I knew there was a reason why there was a scepticism up in the air around his player. I wouldn't say that was a risky pick considering I was between 301 tpe YNFR and other 150 tpe-ish prospects, the gap is huge, and pick was pretty obvious for me. For comparison, 7th overall pick of this draft is currently 352 tpe. He is just slightly better than YNFR was at draft ceremony with almost 2 full seasons over. I wish myself more draft picks like twists!! 23th overall - Wefernardo Mackingikus - 264 TPE (inactive) - Well, sometimes you miss. It would not be a lie If I told you that I had more expectations on Vincent. His first gen player was amazing Dragon, won a Victory Cup and then repeated the success with another team. 1250 tpe first gen, active on VHL discord server, what could have gone wrong? Taking him in the second round was also a relief for me 'cause I didn't do a deep scout work with that draft class, so I was pretty sure Wefernardo is the guy I really want to be in my team with no hesitation. He never answered my messages and disappeared from the forum. 26th overall - Manuel "The Beast" Ceson -304 TPE (3rd in TPE among 2nd rounders) - the reason why I am writing down this part of article. Manuel is 12th (????) player and finally he reached the 300 TPE plateau, so Dylan can be proud of himself. All this time, he has been saving karma, and I suppose next season he will take a deep breath at VHL stadiums. And mark my words, first home game will be sold out as fans desire to see his first steps on the ice in DCD jersey. I have never said to anyone, but Ceson was in my blacklist from day one due to his VHL background for sure. No clue why, but I decided to take a shot, and this move was probably the most brutal shit I've done in my VHL experience. 32nd overall - Steven Nichols - 236 TPE - The last pick of the second round is still active, and I am more than happy with the fact that @SlyDigi finds his time to claim press conferences or other stuff, so he is not just a clicker user. I am waiting for him to be VHL eligible one day as I follow every ups and downs of my prospects and I really cheer for them and Nichols is not an exception. So far, he has got more TPE than 17th overall pick who went inactive pretty much after the VHL draft. In conclusion, I can only admit that DC definitely did the best work on this draft taking the max value almost from every pick! Trade deadline (563 words for theme week) DC Dragons made a lot of moves and coming to trade deadline as one of the brightest futures in the league. Every valuable player that could be moved for future assets was traded and now I only have to raise my prospects, waiting for them to make the roster. There are a few guys I could negotiate around; however, I don't see anyone matching my asks and there are probably there are no solid buyers at the market. Trading every veteran and inactive guys might hurt production of Petan Jr and YNFR, and I don't really want to initially do that. Both guys are almost on pace for point per game and playing around the bots won't help them with contribution. It would not be exaggeration to say that the most interesting trades took place at the start of the season and now teams peacefully heading to playoffs battle. Malmo shockingly traded every available pick for Lucy Leitner even though next season will be not as cool as present one. Almost everyone will face depreciation \ retirement. And newly hired GM will have to solve this problem during the offseason without moving potential lottery 1st round S100 pick. As I said, Toronto got their star roster player, and we'll see how it works out for them. This deadline has a potential to become one of the most interesting one for a while. A crazy tight race on NA conference puts 3 teams in vulnerable position where they are not comfortable to get rid of 1st round picks or promising prospects. However, I would be excited to see at least someone from this list of teams: Seattle, Chicago and Toronto to make some bold moves in the near future. Unfortunately, none of them would. NYA has impressive 11W streak and it seems they locked in playoffs spot. Seattle has already done a few moves before we got to TDL, trading their 1st S99, 2nd S99 and Marek Nowaczyk they got Theo Allard, Baby Moo Moo and Rin Kagamine. Theo Allard was one of the best available C options on the market and it was just a matter of time to see his destination. Moo Moo and Kagamine are useful depth pieces for pretty nice price. So, with that being said, I doubt Bana will get use of S100 picks and this is likely his last moves during S97. Talking about Toronto, they have already traded both 1sts for Shevchenko and Legion's prospect pool is not a thing they could rely on in trade negotiations. And we are coming to Chicago, who surprised me with unexpected fall from 3rd to 6th place for a 20 games span. Cole is not the type of GM who does gambling things and If I were him, I would also accept the reality that his roster has its own limit, unfortunately, it is just a 6th place in NA conference. At the moment, the most benefits from current state of positions are going to NYA that have CHI 1st S98 in their hand. And it seems it could be pretty dope pick, considering DCD 1st round pick will likely be negatively affected due to breaking backup goalie rule. We just need to state the fact that we have nothing to do but see how things will go without any trade deadline drama. European Conference is set, and I don't expect any noise from them either. I hope we will see some activity, but it can't be matched with all the hype we have gone through S97 offseason. 1800+ words
