  1. Really like this concept. It’s nice to see something different other then hockey related cards or banners, I would recommend moving NHL logo down to where the P2 logos are over the front wheels for a better ascetic feel.
  2. 1. It been a treat to see Calgary go 500 with the tough start they had to the season, great job boys can’t wait to be up in the VHL with you guys. 2. I think I’ve had a pretty decent start to my VHLM season with some pretty tough match ups for the first couple of games. 3. the top 2 lines are just getting into it again they’ll pick up and the. We’re in good shape 4. I would say joe Madison with his willingness to get dirty and block shots(every goalie loves those guys). 5. I keep hearing my name pop up here but I’m going to have to say that along with myself, Robert Stutzle is showing a lot of promise 6. I would have to compare myself to Carey price I like to base my goaltending style off his.
  3. +10 Alex Parise
  4. 1. Please welcome our new GM @16z! What do you think of the moves made by the Lynx in the draft, and if you're new, what do you want to accomplish in Ottawa?: I think the moves made during the draft were great and I want to bring a championship home to Ottawa. 2. Congrats to all the players who recently got drafted! What do you think of the team, the city, and the people you met there? If you have not yet been drafted, any preference? North America or Europe? Any specific team?: It was super cool im excited that Calgary drafted me. 3. What would you rather, potentially: a captain's vote or picked by management?: Picked By management for sure they have seen who can lead this team. 4. How far do we go this season? How many points do you hit individually, or for Parise, what do you hope your stats will be?: I hope my stats are solid id like a high .8 to .9 save percentage and a few shutouts. 5. NHL Expansion Draft is tomorrow! Any guesses as to who gets drafted by Seattle? Do they take Carey Price?: I think youll see seattle go with a younger goalie behind a more veteran front end. 6. Best song of all time?: the never ending song. 7. For the newer players, what's your favorite NHL team? Favorite player? Or, if you don't watch the league, any other leagues/sports that interest you: Toronto maple leafs im sorry everyone haha.

  7. S79 VHL Entry Draft Excitement For Young Goaltender: As we all sat down on Sunday July, 18th, 2021 for the VHL Entry Draft no one knew what would come for the hopeful players looking to get drafted to the VHL. As everyone had expected Papa Emeritus went 1st Overall in the draft and a huge congratulations goes out to him from everyone here. Our story today however is about an unexpected draftee who came into the VHLM late in S78 and made waves with his play in only 8 games going 6-1-1, Alex Parise now playing for the Ottawa Lynx of the VHLM. Alex had very little time to show his talent this past season but wasted no time with his opportunities between the pipes. He showed he can be a solid go to between the pipes. His play in the short time he had last season impressed quite a few teams in the VHLM, one of which was the Ottawa Lynx which drafted him 16th overall in the VHLM Dispersion Draft. We reached out to Mr. Parise for a comment and he said “I’m excited to be going to Ottawa, I see a lot of potential with the team and management ”. What no one expected to come out of today was Alex being drafted 21st overall in the VHL Entry Draft to the Calgary Wranglers. Simply an amazing outcome for this young talented goaltender, I can assure you everyone here was ecstatic when we heard the news that teams in the VHL had seen his potential and decided to draft him. We could see in this young man's face that he was excited to hear his name called at the draft and especially to a team like the Wranglers. We reached out for a comment but Alex was busy calling family and friends letting them know the news. What will become of this young VHL hopeful, we foresee another season in the VHLM with the Ottawa Lynx at least before we see him between the pipes in the VHL. However, like this young Goaltender has already done he could surprise everyone at training camp and earn himself a spot on the starting roster backing up Calgary’s Carter Bellamy. Alex has shown that he shouldn’t be underestimated in his ability to show what he’s capable of accomplishing when under pressure. Only time will show what this young man is made of and if he has what it takes to make it into the VHL. To summarize this young goaltender’s drafting to the Calgary Wranglers, It is a very exciting day for Mr. Parise. However his work has only just begun to make it to the big leagues, He has to show he has what it takes to perform at the VHL level day in and day out. We here are all excited to follow Alex’s career and see where it takes him and just how far he is able to go. Hopefully his career is full of good times and he is able to complete his wish of bringing a championship home to Calgary and Ottawa.

  11. Rookie Goalie Alex Parise makes waves in short first season: Rookie goaltender Alexander Parise joined the Minnesota Storm late towards the end of season 78. He joined the team after a dominant start to his sophomore season in the Western Hockey League with the Victoria Royals going 31-19-6 with a 0.899 sv% and 6 shutouts, with stats like that it wasn’t a surprise to see this young prospect moving on to the VHLM to finish out the season with the Storm losing their back up goalie. Alex finished his short rookie season with a 6-1-1 record with a 0.838 sv% and 1 shutout in his second game between the pipes. This young goaltender hails from Victoria, B.C. Canada, he started his career in the WHL unlike most top prospects who come to their teams through the bantam draft. Alex went undrafted in his bantam draft class as he had a rough start to his season prior to the bantam draft. From that point he put in some serious work and joined the junior A Cowichan Express of the BCHL where he very quickly proved he was the number 1 goaltender. He impressed everyone in his rookie season in the BCHL and was invited to training camp with the Victoria Royals that following summer, He attended and made waves with his bravado. Not only did he talk the talk, he walked the walk and impressed the coaching staff and management to join the team the following season as the back up goalie. With the S79 dispersal draft coming up in the VHLM it will be interesting to see where this young goaltender will end up. He had a solid showing this season with the few games he was between the pipes, and my sources have informed me that the Philadelphia Reapers organization contacted Alex with some pre-draft interview questions. That is the only report I can confirm as of now, I have heard from other sources that teams in the league have been talking about this rookie goalie and have pinned him as the underdog. This will be an awkward time for Alex as the current team he is playing for cannot guard him from the draft and they are strapped for picks in this draft. But with their current #1 goaltender Dexter Vaughn most likely heading up to the show next season they will be hurting in their goaltending department. Whether this will be enough to keep Alex on the Minnesota club or not is yet to be seen, I have reached out to Alex and got a quote from him on this situation “I'm just happy that they(Minnesota Storm)gave me a shot this season and I would love to stay with the organization, but I understand that management has their own plans for the draft and if I have to leave I will be sad. I came here to play in the VHLM and would love for it to be with Minnesota. ”. At the end of the day we can all make assumptions as to what will become of this rookie goaltender, but I foresee a bright future for this young man and a long career in the VHL when he makes it to the show. For this week this is Rookie’s Weekly signing off read next week for another rookie showcase.
