A couple months ago, VHL Commissioner and local drunk did a nostalgic podcast reflecting on the time he has been in the league. He has been around for just over four years now, having joined in March of 2010. In that time, he has been involved with two VHL Hall of Fame careers. The first was with himself, who played six seasons in the VHL, with I think three of those seasons being extraordinary. The second was as an agent to CAL G, who actually has some of the best career statistics among goaltenders in league history somehow, and oddly never played a single game for Calgary. His third and current client is of course Naomi Young, who will most likely NOT end her career in the Hall of Fame, by virtue of her unorthodox player build alone. However, Naomi has accomplished a couple things that her predecessors did not. For one, at 5'2 and 110 lbs, she is probably the smallest player to ever play in the VHL. Second, she is the only "Jardy Player" to ever play in the VHL immediately after being drafted. Bunclewirth himself spent two post-draft seasons in the VHLM, while CAL G went through ludicrous lengths to spend his draft year in the VHLM. (Consequently, this also makes her the only Jardy Player to not win the Stolzschweiger Trophy) Finally, as of May 15, 2014, at 7:19pm CST, Naomi will become the first player Bunclewirth has represented to have an attribute over 95. Yeah, that's right, after four years of activity in the VHL, Jardy has never bothered raising an attribute above 95. This is largely due to him traditionally making his players fairly balanced, and TPE efficient. Young is neither of those things, with her Skating and Passing trending north of 95 before Scoring makes it past 80. With her small stature, she has opted not to make Checking a significant part of her game, so as to avoid penalties and perhaps get a shot at a Virkkunen Trophy in her career. So there you have it. With the posting and claiming of this Fan 590, Naomi will have 99 Passing, the highest attribute Jardy has ever had in four years.

Voted no for pretty much the same reason. Hall of Fame voting is subjective enough to vote on as is, having older players would be weird for me. And like everyone else said, it's nice to keep things fresh. When I was doing my nostalgia podcast, I couldn't believe how long it seemed guys like Rybak and A. Labatte were around. Those guys feel like the current generation, yet their previous players, Feltersnatch and Bencharski, feel like aeons ago. And literally were. I dunno, careers pretty much span a full real year as it is, I think it's good how it is.

I wouldn't say "definitely." Alfred did this some time back and Kendrick was actually the leader. But yeah I can't remember if that took carryover into account or whatever. And I think Kendrick has a couple months of longevity on Sterling.

I'm going to have to push the pre-season start (thus everything else) back a day. Also I'm probably going to make Higgins do it. I've largely been at the farm doing 12 hour days. Like, it's not even 11:00pm and I'm in bed. MY LIVER WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THIS KIND OF LIFESTYLE.

Not that they're bad, but I agree that Bran and Dany are the weakest actors, although for Bran it's the puberty voice that bugs me the most. He was perfect in S1 and S2 but now he's so fucking awkward. Brienne's pretty good, but maybe Bottom 5 if you think about it. Ditto for Jon maybe, except I think he's pretty great. Samwell is damn near perfect though. He comes off a little too confident for my liking sometimes, but he portrays the cowardly tub of shit so well. And yeah, obviously Dinklage and Charlie Dance are in permanent beast mode. Jamie's been fantastic too. The expressions on his face as things are going down are just delightful.

All week I was partially anticipating a threesome last night. Instead, by the end of the night I forgot my phone in the cab and passed out fully dressed on the couch.

We did it!

I updated nearly every week, especially for the VHLM. I did everything in Week 2, just the VHLM in Week 3, everything in Week 4 (which was TD), and then I most likely didn't update until playoffs. In other words, Week 5 would have been missed, then everyone in playoffs, Week 6. Thus, it was weekly for the VHLM except once, and mostly bi-weekly for VHL I guess. Of course, if I end up at the farm most the summer (which is sadly looking likely) I doubt I'll have time for weekly updates next season, so if someone can do it, have at 'er.
