Draft Day Hype

For the first time in, well probably some time I find myself a little hyped for the draft day today. Being honest, it's been a while since I had a player remotely relevant enough to be considered in the top players of the draft, even the old era's despite TPE my scrubs would fall mid to late first round at best. Now I find myself as the second rated defender in a draft only bested by the legendary HoF and TPE machine STZ, which is nothing to be ashamed about positionally. Obviously in terms of where I'm going to actually fall in the draft, it will probably dip a bit lower given the positional needs of teams. Although based on the scouting efforts and barring any surprises, the mock draft that was posted today is probably an accurate slot of where I may end up. 

 

I said it in the pre-draft interview but given where team needs are London could probably utilize a D like Sven best. It'll be interesting to see though what Davos does after trading to 4th to "get their guy", which could mean all sorts of things. I also know I've been scouted by another GM who may perceive Sven being in their wheelhouse to, which makes one wonder if positional need is the only factor heading into this draft. It's also easy to over speculate on positional need by presuming rosters stay the way they look as presented. Shake ups happen all the time, and while the smart money for Sven is probably London at 5th. On draft day; anything can happen. Best of luck and good vibes to all the draftee's today!
