Again only the younger of our two Hockey Exports was actually playing.

 

Marcel played in two games.

The first one was against the Ottawa Lynx. This match was lost 4-1. AL (Leblanc, Janser) in a power play scored the only Halifax goal at the end of the second period. At that time the Lynx were already 3-0 ahead, which proved too much of a handycap for the 21st to catch up. The three stars were Vomacka (2g/0a), Wumbo (.952 saving rate) and Lajeunesse (1g/0a). Martello's 31 saves on 35 shots were not enough to win the day for the Nova Scotia franchise. The Halifax' powerplay was ok (1/5) while the penalty kill was impeccable (3/3).

The second match was against Marcel's former team the Reapers. The Philadelphian squad had the better of the 21st and won 3-2. Within 4 minutes of the first period, the Pennsylvanians were 2-0 ahead. Halifax shortened the lead by one before the intermission with Warrior's (Ingram) goal. However, in the second period, the Reapers scored the only goal and reinstated the two goal lead. The final goal went to Hagel (McMuffin, Janser) midway in the third period. The three stars were Dokis (2g/1a), Kawaii (1g/1a) and Clark (0g/2a). The goalie competition was quite tight with .889 and .880 respectively and the better end for Jarvinen. The 21st's boxplay was okay (4/5) while the powerplay was inexistent (0/3)

Marcel recorded 0g, 1a and +0

 

Halifax is now 6th of the VHLM with a 1-2-1 record.

Marcel is at 4gp, 0g, 5a, 5pts, -4, 2 PIM, 4 hits, 4sb
