  1 HELSINKI TITANS

Harkat Mulds @hylands

    C TPE: 370

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Yukon 72 53 88 141 89 387 60 123 25
  79 - Yukon 9 3 4 7 1 45 11 12 4
  80 - Yukon (playoffs) 15 10 14 24 9 77 12 24 4

Harkat Mulds is currently ranked 2nd in TPE for this draft class, and is coming off of a spectacular season for the Yukon Rush of the VHLM. This past season saw Mulds finish 3rd in scoring on the eventual Prime Minister's Cup winning Rush, scoring 53 goals and 88 assists for 141 points in 72 games. Mulds would slot in as a perfect 2nd line center for Helsinki in S81 and projects to be their franchise center for some time to come.

  2 HELSINKI TITANS

Maximus Decimus Meridius @Beaviss

    RW TPE: 281

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Yukon 72 47 43 90 56 316 60 131 25
  79 - Miami 11 0 0 0 1 2 0 2 0
  80 - Yukon (playoffs) 15 13 8 21 6 50 12 35 2
  79 - Miami (playoffs) 18 3 1 4 5 7 6 11 1

Maximus Decimus Meridius, a long time VHL member, comes in at second here and will complete Helsinki's first line of the future alongside of Mulds and recently acquired winger from Calgary Alex Johnston. Over the course of their VHLM run Meridius proved to be a good luck charm for both Miami and Yukon as they never failed to make the finals, in 83 VHLM games they have recorded 47 goals and 43 assists for 90 points. Meridius will be VHL ready once they improve on the defensive side of the puck as well as their skating.

  3 LONDON UNITED

Zaza Colors @McWolf

    RW TPE: 321

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Yukon 72 53 69 122 88 350 46 109 17
  79 - Halifax 10 7 7 14 4 57 6 19 12
  80 - Yukon (playoffs) 15 12 8 20 8 56 16 37 7
  79 - Halifax (playoffs) 5 3 2 5 0 25 4 7 4

Zaza Colors is our third Yukon Rush player in a row to start the draft. It's all but guaranteed that London takes Colors at 3 as this is believed to be the player that they traded up for (from 5 to 3). Colors is yet another player coming off a remarkable season 80 with Yukon that saw them break the 50 goal mark with 53. Colors also added 69 assists for 122 points. Notably Colors also had the second highest +/- in the VHLM with a +88. As Colors improves they will without a doubt be a player to watch.

  4 Seattle Bears

Nico Pearce @Spartan

    LW TPE: 370

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Minnesota 72 59 58 117 24 473 86 201 24
  79 - Halifax 10 6 8 14 4 65 4 16 13
  80 - Minnesota (playoffs) 10 7 6 13 0 51 12 13 2
  79 - Halifax (playoffs) 5 3 3 6 -1 33 4 5 3

Nico Pearce checks every box for the Bears, he's a very well-rounded and already has developed on both sides of the puck and is one of the better skaters and puckhadlers in the draft class. Last season, Pearce was a great two-way threat. Along with scoring 59 goals and 58 assists for 117 points, all while laying the body each and every game with a total of 201 hits. Pearce will step into the Bears lineup immediately and will likely find themselves stepping right into a spot on the top line.

  5 RIGA REIGN

Sirdsvaldis Miglaskems @FrostBeard

    C TPE: 251

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Houston 72 15 53 58 27 119 104 181 9

  80 - Houston (playoffs) 6 2 2 4 0 8 8 14 0

Miglaskems will one day step in as the hopefully long-time first line center in Riga and be the heartbeat of their offense. Last season Miglaskems signed with Houston as a waiver player and would go onto score 15 goals and have 53 assists for 68 points in 72 games. Going forward if Miglaskems can continue to develope their game they should be ready for the VHL in season 82. Once they crack the VHL they will slot in perfectly as a second line center behind Cabe McJake in Riga.

  6 Seattle Bears

Hulk Hogan 2 @Hogan

    D TPE: 287

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Yukon 72 46 105 151 49 386 82 136 83
  79 - Mississauga 3 0 0 0 1 1 4 3 6
  80 - Yukon (playoffs) 15 4 20 24 9 50 30 24 16
  79 - Mississauga (playoffs) 17 2 4 6 4 8 10 12 5

Hulk Hogan 2 has proved to be one of the greatest defensemen in VHLM history by recording the 3rd most points by a defensemen in one season ever and the 2nd most assists by any VHLM player since season 72 with 105 assists and 151 points in 72 games. Additionally, Hogan 2 recorded 24 points in the season 80 playoffs. Currently Hogan 2 appears to be developing into a franchise defensemen and could prove to be the face of any team in the VHL. Once they develop a little bit more Hogan 2 will be a force to be reckoned with. For Seattle this is a very logical pick as Hogan 2 would anchor their defense and compliment Nico Pearce very well.

  7 TORONTO LEGION

Cadmael Ixazaluoh @Vice

    D TPE: 242

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Philadelphia 72 20 66 86 -14 121 66 90 134

  80 - Philadelphia (playoffs) 5 3 3 6 -1 11 2 7 10

The first of several Philadelphia Reapers expected to go in the first round, Ixazaluoh is coming off a ridiculous season and was 1 of 3 defensemen to lead their team in scoring with a total of 86 points in 72 games. Additonally, Ixazaluoh finished 2nd in the league for blocked shots. Expect Toronto to take a defensemen with each of their first round picks to assemble their future top pair to go along with their forwards selected in the season 80 draft.

  8 CALGARY WRANGLERS

Wattson Power @Tape-to-Tape

    D TPE: 248

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Mexico City 72 36 47 83 -10 268 74 150 106

Power answers everything Calgary needs at 8th overall, and should step into the lineup in season 82 and fill the void that will be left with the retirement of Leveque. Last season Power proved to be one of the bright spots on a Mexico City team that ultimately just missed the playoffs, recording a solid 36 goals and 47 assists for 83 points in 72 games. Power will be a great addition to any team that drafts him and could easily be taken earlier in this draft.

  9 TORONTO LEGION

Biggie Cheese @a_Ferk

    D TPE: 239

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Houston 72 34 78 112 22 269 50 84 88

  80 - Houston (playoffs) 6 2 2 4 0 10 6 6 11

Biggie Cheese is another defensemen to lead their team in scoring this past season, leading Houston with 112 points. Cheese also scored 34 goals this past season and was an integral part of Houston's core. This coming season, Cheese will be in the VHLE and will look to join the VHL in season 82. For Toronto, this pick will be decided by Calgary's selection as they will likely take two of Ixazaluoh, Power, and Cheese to assemble their blueline of the future.

  10 WARSAW PREDATORS

Nezuko @tfong

    LW TPE: 271

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Minnesota 72 61 60 121 61 407 10 75 24
  79 - Miami 11 1 2 3 8 10 6 10 0
  80 - Minnesota (playoffs) 10 4 6 10 5 26 6 13 6
  79 - Miami (playoffs) 18 1 1 2 5 10 4 14 0

Nezuko, a player who could very well go earlier, gets pushed back by the run on defensemen. That being said, Nezuko would be a great fit in Warsaw and could very well be the next great Warsaw forward. Additionally, Nezuko would slot in perfectly alongside Bogdan Trunov and Zach Kisslinger II or Brendan Marner on the first line in season 82. This past season Nezuko was drafted 11th overall by Minnesota (VHLM) and proved to be worth the pick as they would prove to be a scoring machine with 61 goals and 60 assists for 121 points in a full 72 games. Once Nezuko developes defensively watch out!

  11 HELSINKI TITANS

George Sanderson @SpicyGecko

    D TPE: 204

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Philadelphia 72 17 35 52 -16 86 95 207 93

  80 - Philadelphia (playoffs) 5 1 3 4 -4 6 14 18 12

George Sanderson was a stalwart on the Reapers blueline this season and continues to improve at a consistent pace. While not the most offensive defensemen, Sanderson has shown some offensive upside in the past season scoring 17 goals on only 86 shots. With Helsinki, Sanderson would likley slot in as the 3rd/4th defensmen alongside of Alessandro Nano, Flynn Remy, and Bob Beach. With Helsinki completing their future first line earlier in the draft Sanderson is the logical pick at 11th overall.

  12 Seattle Bears

Daniel Janser @Daniel Janser

    LW TPE: 247

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Philadelphia 39 27 19 46 8 135 34 84 7
  80 - Mississauga 33 13 21 34 -18 135 18 68 19
  80 - Philadelphia (playoffs) 5 2 2 4 0 19 4 12 2

Daniel Janser, one of the two Janser brothers in this draft will likely fall somewhere in the mid-late first round and could likely go earlier than expected. Janser spent last season split between Philadelphia and Mississauga, and really came into their own with the Reapers as they would score 27 goals and 19 assists for 46 points in 39 games. With Seattle Janser would round-out the Bears first round selections and could find themselves on the Bears roster following a season 81 in the VHLE.

  13 RIGA REIGN

Alexander Leduc @Alexandre

    RW TPE: 236

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Yukon 72 35 55 90 53 268 18 46 12

  80 - Yukon (playoffs) 15 10 14 24 7 80 0 4 1

Yet another Yukon Rush alumni that will be selected in the first round, Leduc will compliment Riga's existing core and other draft picks very well. Leduc really came into their own during the S80 VHLM playoffs where he recorded 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points in 15 games. Up to date Leduc has developed well and as they continue to improve defensively and with their skating they will be an important part of Riga for many seasons to come.

  14 RIGA REIGN

Yun Chiang @FireballSalad

    RW TPE: 214

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Miami 68 60 65 125 18 397 26 104 44

  80 - Miami (playoffs) 4 2 1 3 -1 16 6 6 3

Yun Chiang is a very promising first gen who since joining Miami just after the start off the season took the VHLM by storm, scoring 60 goals and adding 65 assists for 125 points in 68 games. Chiang will likely step into the Reign's roster following 1 season in the VHLE. With Riga they would be a solid addition on the second line and I wouldn't be suprised if Chiang finds their way onto the top line at one point or another.

  15 MOSCOW MENACE

Mason Jones @Masu Chan

    LW TPE: 205

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Philadelphia 72 21 54 75 -4 189 54 80 12

  80 - Philadelphia (playoffs) 5 2 1 3 -4 14 2 2 4

Mason Jones has been a huge part of the Philadelphia Reapers since being drafted 45th overall in the S80 VHLM draft. A pass first winger Jones' game has developed nicely and he should be set to make the Menace roster following 1 more season, in which Jones will be returning to the Philadelphia Reapers as their captain. Once joining the Menace, Jones will slot in perfectly on their second line along side one of their top centers.

  16 WARSAW PREDATORS

Janet Snakehole @MattBake12

    D TPE: 183

TEAM GP G A PTS (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB
  80 - Ottawa 72 10 51 61 49 67 88 141 75

  80 - Ottawa (playoffs) 16 0 5 5 8 8 8 31 29

With this pick Warsaw could go one of two directions, either addressing a positional need with Snakehole or taking the best player available in Robert Wilk @Tomat0. While neither of these options would be a mis-step Snakehole is the likely direction as Warsaw currently has no prospect defensemen and with Chicken Wing's and Hadrian's contract expiring following this coming season Snakehole would be able to step in and fill that gap by either season 82 or 83. Snakehole is coming off a promising season with Ottawa and is well on their way to being a great defensemen. This coming season Snakehole will be returning to Ottawa to try and win a second Founder's Cup before moving onto the VHLE or VHL in season 82.

I feel like I could sneak into that 15 pick. Don't have the stats but  got the skills.

There's a handful of players who could have made it, 13-20 will be very close.

Review:

very nicely done, nice formatting. I like especially the colours you used to indicate the respective team, a very nice touch. You elaborate why you think the player goes to whom and at what position. Very easy to read and including the stats in a table makes it very convenient to draw your own conclusions. Only downside: Only 12th overall, what were you thinking? (just kidding, this draft was loaded with Talent). Solid 9.5/10 (10 are nearly impossible to get).
