Alexander Kachur, the name alone pulls in some ire, or some excitement. He was a polarizing figure early on in the Victory Hockey League, having a middle of the road career before retiring. Then he became an agent for Adam Frence, the French sensation before disappearing once again. Until a few days ago when he appeared on the doorstep of former General Manager and Friend Thomas Landry. The Victory Hockey LEague exploded with questions as Kachur mentioned he owed the Mob money. Then the next person said he owed Alimony to his ex wife. Then he told another person that he was bored sitting at home. Whatever the reason Alexander Kachur has laced his skates back up in an attempt to play the aggressive full contact sport at 31. Looking like a 50 year old homeless man.

Alex was quick to sign a contract with the Houston Bulls organization in the Minors system. When asked about it he simply said “I am good enough for the VHL and shouldn't be down here” while slurring his words and barely able to stand. As he went on the ice for the first practice. Despite being buzzed and over confident the Defender threw the body around like he was 20 and made some decent plays on Defense. He also attempted to fight the Coach, The Goalie, and a few of the forwards. It is clear that he is passionate and willing to get into fights if needed. The enforcer is a dying breed in hockey as a whole. This reporter a few times saw Kachur skating to the penalty box where he had stashed a Flask taking a few drinks here and there throughout practice. “It is simply water, I didn't have a water bottle so I found this flask outside and decided to use it. It's just very strong water is all '' as he took another swig.  The General Manager and Assistant General Manager of Houston refused to Comment directly on the signing of Alexander Kachur and of his on and off ice conduct. Instead we were sent a brief, super brief, press briefing from the team.

“The Houston Bulls stand by the Signing of Veteran Presence Alex Kachur and are unaware of any reports of Misconduct on or off the ice. He is a Valuable Asset to help us achieve the goals we have and any perceived issues will be looked at on a case by case basis”

Its clear that Houston is in a Win Now mode and Kachur is here for whatever reason. Making himself a member of the team holding a small team meeting that was kept private. All we know is he got the changing space closest to the bathroom. He also seems to be being paid by the players in hockey tape. We do not have any more details at this point but we will get to the bottom of this for you all. We will be watching Kachur with great interest as we ask ourselves is this the time he comes back and makes it to the bigs and wins that championship he never got too? Only time will tell but for now we are witnessing a trainwreck on skates.

Are the Houston Bulls aware now?
