EHM is even more ridiculous for how many attributes it has. And there the difference between 17 and 20 in something usually doesn't really matter. Some exceptions apply.

The financier stanpoint. Couldn't you change salary cap work off TPE to working off OVR and give scoring and def larger OVR impact in STHS? Just a though.

Low sample size: We need a bigger sample size for sure. You can't make a decision on a sample size that small. Considering you need at least 1k data points to be relatively sure you're approaching the expected value. Now it's hard to really specify what we'd consider a data points since each season could be considered 72 data points per team for each game played. Or you could consider each season a data point. But realistically because of the number of games. You probably could get away with 5-10 seasons, really. Since it's what like 500 games per season so that's a solid sample size.

I've got the helper role in LVA LR and kinda do the same thing that I do as AGM in Bratislava, more or less. Similar deal in HFX, since I'm around there a fair bit. I also do a similar thing with some players from Team Clue in the JST through DMs. Also reached out a fair bit to players as part of my VHLE draft scouting. But having an actual league mentor job would probably be hard to pull off. But we can always do the Big AL approach "Just do it, don't worry about league approval". Which seems to fit here.

I think this will mostly solve itself over time. Every player who will reach 400 TPE+ will still reach 400 TPE+ with a few exceptions of people who just for whatever reason choose to be VHLE lifers at 350+ while only going PF every 3 weeks or w/e. But I don't think I've seen anyone like that. But over time the exact same number of 400 TPE+ players will exist in the VHL as before the E, so the league isn't "losing players". We are just in a gap where clickers who would be in the VHL at 360ish TPE are now 1 more season in the E and come up 400+ one year later. Since EVERY clicker like that will be delayed by 1 year from now on. The league will adapt and be fine. It's only an issue this very moment because there was a sudden cutoff S80 and we're still stabilizing into the "new" flow of players after that. So it just appears to be an artificial shortage right now, which should sort itself out naturally over the next 1-2 seasons.

 

Now if it's still a problem after 2 seasons, then yeah there is an actual issue. But for now it's just the league adapting to the sudden change that's still recent enough for the prospect systems to be feeling it. That's my read on the situation, at least.
