The Bulls took an early lead and finished the first period up 2-0 over the Kings. Mexico City rallied in a big way during the middle frame, scoring five goals on twelve shots while allowing only a single goal. The third period kept that momentum going for the Kings, and Houston would find themselves in a hole too deep to dig out of. Brandt Fuhr stood tall for the Kings the entire night, turning aside 44 of 47 shot attempts for an incredible 0.936 save percentage. The Houston offense put in the hard work and effort, but luck was not in their favor.
